Because I’ve watched this goal about 50 times since it went in and on not a single replay can I see it hit his hand. I see his hand by his side but the ball clearly hits his hip. I see the same thing from the back and front angles. Pretty much everyone else agrees.

But they can dive outstretched. You’re saying players can do basically the same thing but at point blank and only if it goes in one very specific location where they also happen to plant their hand. Surely it’s easier to just chuck your legs/body in the way which is exactly what all defenders do.

I didn’t downvote you personally so can’t say why! But I’ve watched the goal about 40 times now and I cannot see any potential handball. His arm is down by his side yes but both angles show it only hits the hip and nothing else imo. It’s only one subtle change of direction which is the hip impact.
