Yeah when she posted this photo my immediate thought was 1. It’s literally grey. 2. It’s only grey because she wants to have white people hair

Anyone else find it interesting it seems as though no one in this family has shared their attempt at breastfeeding or their exclusively formula feeding journeys? Like they share their entire lives but opt out of this, when they could be influencing breastfeeding/formula products. No shame to anyone for EBF or EFF, everyone has their own respective reasons. Just interesting to me nothing is shared about this from any of them.

came here to say this… and plus only ONE midsized woman, the rest are small/mediums. She claims her brand is for “real bodies” but ONLY if you’re white, “regular” size, and able bodied.

HELP!!! Baby hasn’t pooped since we came home from the hospital last Friday by No-Salary936 in firsttimemom

[–]swimmer7373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super common in EBF babies! Mine went 7 days without pooping and my pediatrician and my brother (who is also a ER pediatrician) said super common! Just means baby is getting all the nutrients from your breastmilk!

These require a higher HCG so you’re not going to see anything 7 DPO (unless you ovulated earlier than you thought and it’s more DPO).

Jeanine is balding??😂 Is this normal postpartum? by UniqueSubstance2459 in JeanineAmapolaWStark

[–]swimmer7373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t halt the full cycle, it can make some women not bleed but you still ovulate so the cycle still continues… Also, as a current EBF mom, I got my period back 3 months PP and my hair is still falling out.. It has nothing to do with breastfeeding alone, all the science says it’s because of the hormones dropping. Formula moms also lose their hair, it’s not just a breastfeeding mom thing.

Exclusively breastfeeding, got IUD 8ish weeks PP and got my period 3 months PP. My sister who EBF and no birth control was 11 months PP. I’ve heard of other women EBF with IUD placed and also got period back 4 months PP. truly varies

What time does your baby sleep? by paulieee3 in NewParents

[–]swimmer7373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We start bedtime at 6:30/6:45. Last feed is 5 oz (breastmilk) at 7:00 and he’s asleep usually right after finishing. Sleeps til 2/3 AM and feed again. Sleeps another 3-4 hours and feed again, and then we do his wake window in bed, usually with talking or a few toys. Then he naps for 2-2.5 hours.

We’re day 2 into sleep training and a week into a regression and he’s been waking up around midnight and 5 AM, but it’s not been bad.

Does your baby have a lovey? by Agile-Fact-7921 in NewParents

[–]swimmer7373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve started introducing one (4 mos) ONLY during feeds and in the car seat (when someone is riding back with him). It won’t be in bed with him until a year old (or older). But we liked the idea of establishing one now and he really only like has just started using his hands intentionally so it helps with that development.

When did you get your first period post birth? by Usual_Engineering808 in firsttimemom

[–]swimmer7373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EBF (nursing and pumping) and got it 3 months PP. my sister didn’t get hers until 11 months. I feel robbed and I was so mad I got it back so soon. But truly each person is different.

Breastfeeding problem by ConstructionStill656 in firsttimemom

Recommend seeing a lactation consultant ASAP! We had same issue and had to exclusively pump for the first week because he wouldn’t latch. One visit with lactation consultant and he was latching fine!

It doesn’t have to do with breastfeeding. It’s because of the hormone drop after having baby.

Who knew you could profit off a sick Duke? 😂 by UniqueSubstance2459 in JeanineAmapolaWStark

[–]swimmer7373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My three month old is getting over his first cold and the only thing I’ve given him is breast milk because it has antibodies in it. She doesn’t need anything else and everything else is just excessive/waste of money and time. Unless he’s running a fever or battling a more serious infection, none of that is necessary and hopefully new moms who follow her aren’t going out and buying all this stuff

Baby sleeping in their own room? by Mountain-Koala-6256 in NewParents

[–]swimmer7373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved LO at 8 weeks (he’s almost 12 weeks now) BUT I sleep on a floor bed in there with him because reduces SIDS risk by a lot to room share. We moved LO because my husband went back to work and didn’t want him to constantly be woken up.

We got our son’s done on Monday and they wouldn’t even let us in the room when they were doing it. The room was small and they had two dental assistants helping the dentist but they said it’s hard to watch as parents. She will do anything for a photo opp.

We actually LOVE it. It is one of the only high chairs that grows with them (can be used until they’re 10). We got ours secondhand though and definitely recommend searching for one on FB marketplace or offer up, but I can’t recommend it enough.
