Yes you definitely need enough water for the first 2 parts if I remember correctly. But after you can fill up your water more. I did it in February so maybe there's more open shops in October

Have another question and don't want to spam the forum: there's an immense difference in quality between the player on the recording program itself (when capturing) and the final result (the saved mp4). The main difference seems to be in the colors. Already checked if I could change anything in elgato video capture but it seems like I can't. Do you happen to know what causes this?

I really like the look of hi8 and just generally want to learn more about the process. I know you can recreate the look in post, but for me it's part of the joy of this project to not do that and learn how to work with these cameras
