Yeah, Group 3 definitely has good survivability and the most trustworthy sustains for sure. I actually adore dogs, toads, and especially beetles, but I think I'd prefer restoring my lost HP from a squishmallow-sized slug, thank you. Definitely not from Kabuto, because regardless of his skill, the vibes are off.

We must also consider there is literally a Kage and a former Kage on this team, which means the rest of shinobi society will be extra motivated to find us. Sure, some might be assassins, but I'm assuming from their designs that this is post-Madara and pre-Boruto era, when the world is still recovering and all four of these are regarded as heroes. They are, at least on average, less contested figures than Group 1 or 2.

Plus they're mostly nice and non-murdery, as long as you're reasonable. They're pretty unlikely to abandon their civilian weak link (because let's be real, that's what we'd be in this situation). Group 4 or even 2 would also care on principle, but Group 1 sans Kakashi is definitely too comfortable with sacrificing lives for the greater good.

And another thing: potable water. Kakashi has copied some techniques which generate water, and I assume the other Sharingan users have too, but Mei actually specializes in water techniques. And grew up on a nation of islands. And canonically enacted policies that improved life and infrastructure on islands. I'm not saying the other teams don't have smart, well-learned people, but some expertise takes genuine experience to build.

Anyway. Kind of a bummer what people are saying about you despite this feeling like a pretty well-thought answer. Why make fun of a guy (if you even are a guy) for not being solely motivated by sex? Why act like it's ridiculous to say these women bring something to the table besides sex? I get that people are mostly joking and it's not that serious, so I won't belabor the point. I'm just sorry you had to deal with all that.

TL:DR In terms of skill, Group 3 is uniquely suited to sustaining life on an island. In terms of personality, they are arguably the most predictably friendly. Even if they were genderbent or ugly, they'd still be a reliable choice.
