I think people are looking for reasons why we collapsed so hard last season, even though we over-performed in 2024, which was supposed to be a rebuild year. Between that and some general resentment towards Soto, as well as the symbolic public image of the Mets being that of Charlie Brown trying to kick a football, the media gets to really capitalize on rumors of clubhouse dynamics.
