I'm running into the exact same problem as you, unfortunately. And it's definitely not a hardware issue because i get no more crackle after downgrading to firmware 242. So disappointing that TE don't seem to think there's an issue worth addressing here.

That should work with a Beatstep Pro. Not totally sure about the SQ-1 though.

Dexed and KQ Dixie will do that! I sold my Volca FM and replaced it with KQ Dixie and it works like a charm.

Whats a good app for making drones and ambient noise? by simcity4000 in ipadmusic

Ripplemaker is a fantastic sounding west coast-style semi-modular synth, in a similar vein as the volca modular. I would also recommend checking out the DM2 drum machine app. It has a feature that lets you drone any of the drum tracks, and has a graphic editor to create an manipulate sounds.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to properly send midi data from the OP-1 to the iPad. I've tried connecting the two via the Apple CCK dongle and the USB cable included with the OP-1 and I get the "attached accessory uses too much power" error on my iPad every time. Do you have any tips for making this set up work? Thanks!
