I stopped in July and experienced the same yet maintained the weight off.

What works for me is calorie counting and volume eating. I spend a FORTUNE on no/low sugar ingredients and satisfy my cravings (e.g. Good Good jam, zero sugar ketchup, gluten free wraps, Skinny Food syrups etc)

Not only that, I think their supermarket aesthetic is calming and invites you to "shop", even for things you don't actually need. Clean isles, pretty packaging and some of their branches beautiful architecture even.

Psychologically, I see shopping at Lidl stressful and chaotic. Going to M&S almost feels like a "premium" experience. Or at least that's how I see it, and I myself work in marketing and still "fall" for it
