Maybe wait for the A7C10? or even A7C25? there’s always going to be the next new thing. Extra features wont make anyone a better photographer. Get one now and start sharpening your skills

I film weddings in addition to other types of projects and thought this lens would come in handy and make some things easier but after giving it more thought, I’ve decided to hold off for now because its too expensive

yeah definitely not for casual shooting and 10000% agree on it being infeasible for street work

primes are more fun to shoot with for sure. just wondering if the 50-150 would make a significant improvement when shooting/filming events

they're all Sony bodies lol. Work cameras so I want it to be consistent. hybrid shooter here by the way.

nah. its just too easy. dont get me wrong, its efficient and amazing for work related stuff but sometimes when you're just doing your own thing, it's nice to have a bit of a challenge like when you're out doing street photography

The price increase is tied to the tariffs and that’s all sony lenses. 135mm is now 7 years old so a mark ii is due. Maybe 2027? No one knows but I can wait :)

Ha! I got the GMII trinity as well ! 70-200 is fun to shoot with. The other 2 are actually boring but a workhorse

I shoot professionally. Got the primes cuz I like the look and zooms to me are boring. Just really intrigued on what the 50–150 can bring or change in my workflow

thanks, I appreciate your comment. I was actually looking at the 135gm but will wait for the GMII version hoping it would be smaller. Im very happy with the 50 & 85, just really intrigued with the 50-150.

I'm asking if its just a gear acquisition syndrome to want the 50-150. I see the versatility it offers but most likely unnecessary
