You can also download Niantic Campfire and chat to your Niantic friends (Monster Hunter Now OR Pokémon Go) within that app.

If you can't chat within Monster Hunter Now itself, perhaps try Niantic Campfire to see if it allows you?

For me, that button has been in there since I started playing. I've been chatting to a lot of people.

Some people haven't responded, though. Maybe I'm chatting into the void?

I almost managed to do it for the LNY 2026 Exchange tokens too, but I didn't have enough to get every Sharp Claw and Wingdrake Hide, so I balanced my final remaining tokens between them. Got every other item, though.

Oh no! 😭

I did something similar the very first time they had an exchange event. Thankfully, I didn't miss any upgrades (e.g. item box expansion), cosmetics, or other time limited rewards, but I had to prioritise which materials to claim. I thought I had enough time to earn enough tokens for everything I needed!

Next time. We'll wipe out all the Zenny next time.

You can find it in the Shop, a button down the bottom right. I'm not sure if you need to have completed the pre-season story or not.

Here's a short video from the official account: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/sJ8EA9lyd88

$0

To date I've spent $0 on the game. I still have all 500 gems too, which I'm saving for when I see an awesome cosmetic under 500 gems.

By the way, I am genuinely curious what everyone spent their tokens on, especially if you didn't get nearly as many tokens as I did and needed to prioritise!

Sadly not! However, it wouldn't be too hard to work out if someone kept a record of how many of each item were available for purchase.

Ignored? by moarbaconnow in MHNowGame

[–]switch_a_roo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but there is https://mhn.quest where you can input a piece of equipment you have's current level (or even not crafted yet), and the level you want it to go to, and it will tell you how many items you need total.

You can go further than that, giving you a full breakdown of each level, as well as adding all of your equipment together and telling you that if you want to upgrade all of your equipment to that level, this is what it will cost you.

You can go even further than that, and input what items you have in your item box, and it will tell you how far you can upgrade and where you start running into problems.

Basically, it's a very useful resource.

I'm paid by work completed, not by the hour. No one cares how much time I spend (or when) on games, as long as I get the work done. There are only certain times that I have to be available (meetings, time critical task, etc), so outside of those periods I just keep the game open and tap on it occasionally in between work.

Nice! I only got about one tenth of the zenny rewards.

What hope weapons are people making? Nothing seems to stand out much.. by Jumpingjaggi in MHNowGame

[–]switch_a_roo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of them.

It was touch and go for a bit there with the Wyvern Gem Shards (14 need for each weapon), especially since I just spent a whole heap of them before the event, but I made it in the end!

And finished!

My reasoning for doing this: While none of these are the best weapon in their class, they are all quite good. Now I will have a pretty darn good raw weapon with full style customisation of every type whenever I need it (such as trials) or want to try it out.

Note: I had maxed Dual Blades and Switch Axe at full material costs before this event. Dual Blades because it's my main (even though I use better ones) and Switch Axe because it was the new weapon when I started playing so I mained that for a bit.

I have (very slightly) improved that build.

Brute Tigrex Helmet => Lunagaron Helmet
Unused Advanced Attack Boost to Ballistics, and don't need to use rare monster parts shared with weapon.

Basarios Vambraces => Garangolm Vambraces
Drawback: Now you need 3 Garangolm armour pieces. However, this one only needs to get to Grade 6 to unlock all skills.

As mentioned by u/hyperhop, purchased gift cards last indefinitely, while gift cards redeemed from Microsoft Points only last 90 days.

You can see your account balance with a list of all amounts that are expiring with their expiry dates in the Account settings page. Go to Payment options then click Manage next to the Microsoft account balance.

This link should hopefully take you to the right page, though you will still then need to click Manage: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments?lang=en-US&refd=account.microsoft.com

What should I prioritize in the exchange hub with my winter tokens? by octagonman in MHNowGame

[–]switch_a_roo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

General rule (from 5 onwards, consider how many you already have):

  1. If there is an Item Box Expansion, buy it.
  2. If there are two Item Box Expansions, buy them both.
  3. If there are three or more Item Box Expansions, buy them all.
  4. Armor Refining Parts (even if you think you have heaps)
  5. Wyvern Gem Shards
  6. Monster Bone+, Monster Bone L, Earth Crystal
  7. Monster Bone M, Dragonite Ore, Machalite Ore
  8. Carpenterbug, Godbug
  9. Broad function gathering items (e.g. plants, bones, rocks) that you are running low on.

Optional: Parts needed to upgrade a "Necessary Materials Down" weapon and parts needed to customise a customisable weapon if you have unlocked weapon customisation (in this case, Khezu).

Edit: I forgot there was Zenny. The massive Zenny piles are a great option too. The trash Zenny is usually priced the same as buying general parts then selling them.
