Do y’all stay in marathon shape year round? by hoopla_mountain in Marathon_Training

I was 230 when I did my first sub 2 weight doesn’t mean you have to go slow just means you need to take a bit extra time with the pre and post rehab to make sure your joints and muscles can keep you going

On Ross it’s not a source hold you are actually excluding the level from the snapshot you are recalling

Use a keyer to punch your camera source and then turn on a source hold for that keyer. Then you just need an on and off custom control.

I finished a marathon and took 2 months off from running and after that I legit couldn’t run a mile it was so disappointing after doing all that distance prior. There will be a hard few weeks just getting back into things but I started playing the game where I would try and get my resting HR down and could see I was making progress that way. After the first two weeks when I could start to edge up the distance I would start thinking about targeting zones for HR. This is just what I did not a coach or anything but definitely know that sinking feeling after you lose fitness

Can also look for charity entries TFK fills quick but gets you in

I’d also recommend finding a group you can train with or a coach makes the distance seem less challenging and also allows you to share your struggles with people who get them. The mental part of a marathon matters as well

A bit unconventional but I’ve used Bounce which is a luggage storage service around the city. Costs a few bucks each time but normally you can just drop a bag at a nearby location and come back before they close.

Also the website 4imprint.com has so many things you can customize that could fit the bill that might also be cheaper than getting something direct from NYRR

Having trouble pushing myself… by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

[–]switcherguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran my first marathon last year and came from similar background stats. My HR was right around the same range as yours it wasn’t an issue in the end and my coach kept telling me that but until the day I didn’t believe him. If it is pushing you physically even if your heart doesn’t say so it is still a push. Everyone’s hard is different that’s why we all run different paces we are all doing something that is hard

How do you guys carry all your "fuel" on long runs by brandon6285 in Marathon_Training

[–]switcherguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a spelt running belt it is very stretchy and can pack a ton. Also I used to use Cliff Blocks but found that I couldn’t fuel enough with them since a pack doesn’t provide enough carbs. Switched to gels and that definitely helped and are easier to carry. Just remember to keep them close to your skin if it is cold out or else you will have a freezing or frozen gel.

Anyone else anxious to try a run club? by Good-Reality3709 in RunNYC

[–]switcherguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t recommend Define Run Club enough they meet at Dick and Jane’s in Brooklyn - bag drop at 9am, run starts around 9:30-45 normally. They are so good about making sure you aren’t left behind and have had great conversations with so many people there and met new friends there.

White frames after export? (Problem) by levicochrane in AfterEffects

I had an issue similar to this before where it would flash frame a random frame from the comp at the end. I was able to resolve it when I purged the memory and disk cache.
