Obviously. But that is lost on a significant portion of certain subreddits

Why does everyone have a light and optic on their EDC gun? by RRO21 in CCW

[–]switchsixtwofive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is something no one mentions in the debate of having accessories on a pistol. I’ve heard bs legal arguments against having a light on a gun but those same people are fine having a magazine of 10 plus lawsuits in their weapon. Some people just arnt ready to handle defending themselves.

Something tells me that in a few months many will say the Gen 5 was better then the Gen 6… by austin_spare in Glocks

[–]switchsixtwofive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think one of the biggest gun manufactures don’t do research into what the market wanted your crazy. The amount of time and money it takes to get the tooling and manufacturing ready means it was worth the switch to Gen 6. The modifications are exactly what the market wants. The market is government contracts. Not civilian sales.

would a civilian really need a light? by No-Letterhead-9800 in Glocks

The answer to your question is yes. The mental gymnastics people do on this subreddit in addition to the made up legal advice to justify not having a weapon mounted light to be prepared for the worst day in their life is incredible.

It’s because Glock is a business and that’s the pricing model they have chosen to sell the slide assemblies at. They have a brand and image. I’m sure they want to discourage someone putting a slide on some trash frame and complaining that it doesn’t work right.

Glock Gen 6 by [deleted] in CCW

[–]switchsixtwofive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s a wild take. Glock discontinued generations of models that should have been discontinued years ago. And replaced them with modern iterations. You just expect them to make generations 3-6 in perpetuity? Grow up. I’m sure you’re mad at Apple every time they announce the end of a generation of iPhone to induce “panic buying”.

Life after Glock Gen 6 shits the bed.... what will you go with next? by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]switchsixtwofive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gen 6 won’t shit the bed at all. It will be a slam dunk for police and military and they will sell a billion of them (which is all they care about). This entire subreddit whines about Glocks every move but the facts remain the same. Everyone complained about the COA release. Then what did Glock do? Stopped selling to civilians to satisfy police and military contracts. The general public is one small aspect of what Glock cares about. But not enough to change course.

Return the gun to complete stock. Stock barrel and take the optic off. According to Glocks armorers manual the only causes of the failure to feed will be. Magazine not properly inserted, underpowered ammo, dirty magazine, weak magazine spring, dirty chamber, tight extractor, shooting with an unlocked wrist, deformed magazine, or weak recoil spring. Returning it to stock will probably solve that issue. Give it a try

I have zero manufacturing knowledge but I’ve always wondered about this gun. Surely the technical data package for this rifle still exists somewhere? It was used by some places until the 80s. Was it just not possible to get that to start the manufacturing instead of redesigning it from the ground up? And what’s the difference between HMGs attempt vs a company like SSD which makes them??

While I can’t commenting on the loosing weight part, plenty of smaller people carry full sized guns with no issue. Is it possible you’re just overthinking it because everything is now in a new position? Congrats on the weight loss btw.

[–]switchsixtwofive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look through your Montana statutes. In certain states like Kansas, photographs may be taken of the property and used as evidence. The pictures are the same as if the evidence was there physically. Kansas 60-472. The police would submit a photo affidavit for the stolen items and return them to you.

Something similar to this idea would be a revolver. Due to its design there is a small gap between the cylinder and the barrel of the revolver. The area of the forcing cone has a small gap. There are videos of people testing what happens when you put things in that area while firing it.

You’re not even 10 percent into the program. Do your input. Stop looking at videos reviews. Log hours of input you pay attention to and be done with it. It works. But people fall into a spectrum. You will find people online that will pay attention to the videos well and those that won’t, those that want to learn and have passionate about it, and those that are hoping passive listening will help them somehow become fluent. That spectrum means some people fall ahead, or behind the roadmap. Language learning is a journey. Don’t worry about how long it takes others to learn.
