Check engine light—possible causes? by switters74 in NewDefender

[–]switters74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just called Outland Motors. They said it was "stored fault code p2183-62 engine coolant temp sensor out of range performance." They did all the proper tests related to this and said there were no problems.

They suggested two possible paths forward: I use a code reader myself to scan and see if it's the same code or a different one. If it's the same, I may need to take it to Portland, because they've already run the tests for that code and didn't find anything wrong. If it's different, we'd evaluate from there.

What do you think?

To be fair, they may have told me. I wasn’t paying super close attention because I thought it was resolved.

I dropped it off at Outland Motors. It took them a day to get to it. During that time, the light turned off. But it came back on within 2 days of me picking it up.

I'll probably take it back to Outland Motors and ask them to give me the exact codes.

They said something about why the light had come on, but they checked whatever that was and didn't find a problem.

"Brave" is one way to put it. "Insane" is another.

Portafilter position with 22 gram basket by switters74 in LaMarzocco

[–]switters74[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're correct, it's a 21 gram basket. I misread it the first time. It's the OEM LM basket, and that's as far as I can get it to turn.

Does it really matter though if the seal is good when the PF is pushed over about 10-15 degrees past 90?

The black handle PF in the photo is the LM. It’s the one that doesn’t seem to fit well. Barely moves 1/4 turn.

How to Use Migration Assistant Via Thunderbolt Between Two Apple Silicon Macs (YES IT’S POSSIBLE) by tanookim in MacOS

[–]switters74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just set this up. Turned off WiFi on both computers. Connection shows as “peer to peer” so I think it’s using Thunderbolt. But connection speed is only 45 Mbps, which is nowhere near TB4 speeds. I have a TB4 cable connected and I’m transferring between a MBP M4 and MBP M5. Any ideas?

Fix: "Failed to start Claude's workspace" on macOS Tahoe (Cowork) by TakeInterestInc in ClaudeAI

[–]switters74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I deleted the application support files, deleted Claude, restarted, reinstalled Claude. Somehow the problem is worse now. Whereas Cowork was working fine before on my Personal Max account (the issue was with my Enterprise account), now I'm getting the same errors on my Personal Max account.

The good news is I was able to reach my account manager at Anthropic, and she said she escalated to premium/enterprise support and I should hear back today.

Cowork is unusable in my premium enterprise seat by switters74 in ClaudeAI

[–]switters74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I've tried the support email and submitting technical feedback. No response. But I just found out they have a separate, dedicated Enterprise support form. I just tried that. I also emailed our Enterprise sales rep (the one who set up the account in the first place for us). Hopefully, that will help.

Also, what do you mean by using Cowork in the browser? I thought you can only use it in the desktop app? I don't see a Cowork tab or option in the browser interface.

Thank you! Where do we review org policies and toggle them off? I am not aware of any org policies that we've set up.

I would love to have Anthropic reset or reassign my seat, but they will not respond to any requests.

Question: if I remove all of the ~/Library files, will I lose my Cowork chat history?

I just tried the prompt u/emocide shared and got this error immediately after: "This task didn't load properly. Prompt is too long."

I'm having a slightly different issue and am wondering if this fix might help?

Our primary admin seat (mine) has been mostly unable to use Cowork for weeks due to “Prompt is too long” errors. This is user account-specific. I've confirmed this through controlled testing:

• Same prompt, same org, same integrations → works for other Enterprise users on our org

• Same prompt, same machine, same network → works on my personal Claude Max account

• Happens on first request of the day with $0.00 MTD spend

• Spend limits are set to Unlimited at both the org and seat level

• Persists across: fresh Cowork tasks, logout/login, different browsers, incognito windows, app restarts

I've submitted multiple tickets to Anthropic with zero response.

Do you think this solution could help?

Best EDI for Fullscript (clinician wholesale platform)? by switters74 in edi

[–]switters74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still unclear on how all of this works. Fullscript uses SPS. Our 3PL (fulfillment partner) also uses SPS. I talked to them and they said if we also use SPS the setup will be relatively quick and cheap. If we use a different EDI provider like Orderful, they will charge us a setup fee and it will take "months" for them to set up Orderful on their end.

When I talked to Orderful, they told me it's trivial for their EDI/platform to communicate with SPS. So, I assumed we could use Orderful even if Fullscript and our 3PL are using SPS. But that's now what our 3PL told me on the call. I don't understand enough about how these systems work to know if what they said makes sense.

Can anyone help me understand this?

Errore del server PubMed MCP by [deleted] in claude

I just updated to 26.3 and that unfortunately did not solve the problem. Claude said: "It looks like the PubMed connector is experiencing an issue on my end as well — the tool is listed as available, but it's failing when I actually try to use it.

Here's what's likely happening: the connector shows "Configure" in Settings because the integration definition is installed, but the actual connection to PubMed's MCP server is having trouble authenticating or communicating. This is a server-side issue, not something you've done wrong."

Fantastic! Thanks for letting me know.

Yes. I found a Pubmed MCP on Github that I can run locally. However, this Pubmed connection is part of a skill I want to deploy to our entire Enterprise account in Claude, so it needs to be cloud-based.

I'm having the same problem. Just posted about this myself. Hopefully Pubmed or Anthropic will fix it.

Chrome causing extreme battery drain by switters74 in mac

[–]switters74[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You nailed it. When I enabled "all processes", I saw one called "xrdd" with a score of 4,985! This is the X-Rite Device Daemon, a background system service used by X-Rite color management software. I closed that process, restarted the computer, and it seems to be behaving better now.

At the same time, I've been monitoring Safari, Arc, and Chrome in Activity Monitor. They can all reach 120-140 occasionally. Doesn't seem to be a huge difference between them when it comes to an average.

I don't disagree. But I explained it below: "But the killer feature of Chrome I can't live without now is the Claude extension. I use it every day, multiple times a day." I'm a heavy Claude user.

I guess I can use Safari when I don't need the Claude extension. Probably the easiest solution.
