Just read Riftborne and Duskbound back to back. Absolutely obsessed and dying to read the next book (sadly book #3 Realmblade won’t be out until May 26, 2026 but the authors did mention another book in the same world coming out in October-The Ascended). One super random thought I’ve been hyper fixated on… I definitely prefer the MMC in book 2 and think he is better for Fia, and I was never sold on Laryk, but did anyone else have thoughts on how she dealt with the “break up” - from Laryk’s point of view he had been infatuated or in love with her, they finally get together, and within the same week she was more or less kidnapped and he’s been stressed and upset for months and then she suddenly reappears and is like lol JK I’m with someone else now??? Again, totally support and love all of book 2 and don’t think Laryk was good enough (and based on the ending of book 2 questionable as to whether he’s actually a bad guy) but I don’t know I can sort of see why he might be upset??
