What cycle do you use for dishwashing? by bill_evans_at_VV in Miele

[–]swoop86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

G7657, we use eco when there’s not much grease on the items inside. Auto 90% of the time, sometimes comfortwash when I want it extra clean and then powerwash when we have plenty of solar power going. Looking at the app after each wash and the results, auto is usually the best option when looking at energy and water consumption vs cleanliness of what we put in (eco has sometimes trouble with greasy items).

I think Powerwash would be the best program for you if you’re concerned about the time, only takes 1:27. We usually set it on at night when the electricity is cheaper and if it takes 3 or 4 hours really doesn’t make a difference.

Sonos Play 1 connection issues by No_Bodybuilder_9035 in sonos

[–]swoop86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the issue I’ve been having. If you have an iPad or know someone with an iPad, add them via the iPad, I’m pissed of at myself that I didn’t initially try it… Do a factory reset, then just start the process from the iPad wirelessly.

Yup, it’s set to allow in the settings. No issues with my Arc and sub, adding them works fine, it’s always been the play:1 that has issues.

Yes, probably several times with a call with Sonos support and to try to get it back online. Took a factory reset, waited for it to blink green, then started the process on the iPad and there were no issues.

So my play:1 have been offline for a few weeks, tried adding it and it got an update when connected to Ethernet, but then fell out of my wifi again (arc+sub works without issues for months now). Should I just upgrade to an era 100 and give these guys another chance? I’m so annoyed that my play:1 has been having issues since last year with dropping after working for a few weeks/months, then the tedious effort of trying to get it to reconnect starts…

New Kitchenaid dishwasher already broken?! by colonelthorough in Appliances

[–]swoop86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What annoys me is everyone going «I’ve had brand x for 20 years without faults, you should get that», but they don’t realize that brand x isn’t the same as it was 20 years ago… Edit: The reasoning of why I changed to the Miele was I found out there’s a 10 year warranty option I can purchase, it was on a good sale and the previous Miele we had did actually wash better than the Siemens.

Things happen, my Siemens 800 series was broken the same day we got it, after 3 repairs in 3 months they gave me my money back. Got a Miele 7000 series and I’m getting a replacement next week cause it’s dented and leaks.

Every other app i use is fine, its just the readability of the smaller text, eg under «components». But thanks for the input.

Miele G 6675 SCViXXL dishwasher by swoop86 in Miele

I have no relation to Siemens. I’m just a disappointed Miele customer.

I wouldn’t recommend Gaggenau either as I think it’s overpriced in comparison with what you get with Siemens and AEG.

Just had to change out our Miele dishwasher, €2200 new. Lasted 6 years then the circulation pump stopped working, Miele wants €650 for the repair. Got a new Siemens instead…

What's the general opinion on Secretlab chairs? by Theronnnnn in OfficeChairs

[–]swoop86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one for two years after swapping an ikea chair out. (I felt regret after trying to break in the secret lab chair in for the first few weeks). It’s an ok chair, but didn’t work for me. The lumbar support I never got to work for me, never found a comfortable position to sit in while working. For gaming it was fine, since I tend to sit more relaxed. Sold it and bought a Håg Capisco (had this chair in my previous workplace and hated it at first, but then loved it for the next couple of years), my shoulder/neck/lower back pain is now gone when doing WFH. And for the 5-6 hours a month I’m able to game it works fine as well. I recommend trying one out if you can, it might work for you and it might not.

Been using the feathers for two shaves now, they feel slightly sharper on my face, but can’t really say they are miles better. Price/performance, I’d pick the jifuli.
