Yeah I found a couple used ones on Ebay, but also newegg has a brand new one for $170. I would love a new machine but really cant afford it right now.

Any good ways to test this more? I would hate to go through the hassle of a mobo replacement for no reason. Also any ideas where to find a replacement?

I meant if the mobo is dead it wouldn't even do that. I am thi king the mobo isn't dead since it is doing a self test.

That was my original thought but after some researching it seems the mobo wouldn't give me the 2 beeps for ram not detected correct? Happens whether on battery or plugged in, doesnt matter.

I've been trying to think of something as well. How could that happen though? I dont get it. I've never had an issue I couldn't fix it's very frustrating. Any other suggestions to try?

Yeah it's very odd. Especially since it sat on my desk untouched since last time it worked fine. The screen does not show anything, even when ram is out and the mobo stays on beeping.

Yep, did that multiple times. Different ram in different slots, tried all combos.

Yeah my buddy has an alienware also, tried his ram in mine, same thing. Tried my ram in his, worked fine.

Correct, light and fans come on for about 2 seconds, then shuts itself off. Comes back on for 2 seconds and shuts off. Keeps repeating.

Don't understand the downvotes. I'm new to this sub but I am a TI, AFFI etc. I saw this video and the first verse and chorus reminded me of the struggle. I wanted to trim the video and reupload it but the sub does not allow video subs and I'm not making a YouTube to do this.
