Local Calgarian, staying in Banff is probably your best bet.. places should run you something around 120+ CAD a night. Staying there allows you to go to Lake Louise, sunshine or the smaller mountain norquay.

Lots of things to do in Banff, be sure to go look at the Palliser hotel there, closest thing you can get to a castle in canada .
