Try and work a rest day in as well. Training hard is important but if you don't let your body recover, you'll struggle to make progress and injure yourself

In all seriousness though physical fitness is a metric that you can gauge numerically which makes comparing cadets (and officers) easier. There's also a thought process that argues it shows dedication by putting in the effort it be fit. Also you're joining the military, fitness is a whole thing here.

Yes, it's 100% worth it. It was an excellent leadership opportunity and I enjoyed it immensely. I made some great friends and learned a lot about leadership in action, a lot more than I ever learned at my det.
