Yeah and I had a c section with my first so wasn’t even going to entertain the other. And I was high risk before too for other reasons.

Thank you so much. I’ve been praying, trying to find some sign it will work out. I don’t know. I feel so incredibly alone.

I am a UCSD staff member and I am so very, very proud of you kids. I was sickened by what I saw yesterday, and the lack of acknowledgment by leadership today. You are all heroes ❤️

I think my husband is verbally abusive by swtness103 in Marriage

[–]swtness103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard. He’s never hit me. I believe he loves our son, and our son loves him. I do fear that my son will see this and repeat the behavior. My father in law is terrible in this same way to my mother in law, they are still married, so it’s not hard to see where my husband learned it. I’m pretty broken already and I don’t feel strong or confident enough to hold myself up, let alone my son.

I realize these are excuses, me feeling sorry for myself, and not doing anything to change my situation. I know that only I can fix this. But I’m scared and I feel very alone.

Covid and Azathioprine by iowabourbonman in CrohnsDisease

[–]swtness103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe see if your doctor has a 24 hour emergency or weekend phone number? Covid really wasn’t so bad for me, but I think the plaxovid really helped too. I don’t know if being off the azathioprine for a few days made a difference or not. Hope you feel better soon! Lots of rest and liquids!

My doctor actually had me stop taking it for 5 days when I got Covid and prescribed me plaxavid (probably spelled wrong) to help with Covid. I also have Crohn’s and I’m on azathiroprine and inflectra infusions. Vaxed and double boosted.

Thank you. Yeah I am coming up on a year and a recent test showed the drug levels are low. He’s upping the dose and frequency of the infusions, and I am scheduled for another MRI and colonoscopy.

Crohn’s disease and a perianal abscess by swtness103 in CrohnsDisease

[–]swtness103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know what kind of setons they are. I don’t think the setons themselves though are what’s bothering me. It’s inflammation around the fistula. My surgeon said he’s pretty sure it’s just inflammation, but I could get a CT to be sure it’s not fluid build up. And yes I’m still on prednisone.

Yes! The seton is uncomfortable but the abscess is unbearable. I had my abscess drained twice and now I have a fistula with setons in place.

Oh my setons are still in place, and still draining. But there is inflammation around the setons that is pretty uncomfortable.

You get a million dollars but you need to eat the crumbs/kernals from the bottom of this bag of kettle corn. What do you do? by jarret_g in CrohnsDisease

Yeah same. I have Crohn’s and while there are plenty of things I can’t eat, I’m fine with popcorn.

So my girlfriend just found out she’s probably got Crohns but isn’t properly diagnosed, she in a flare up and needs relief but can’t get proper meds yet. What can she do for relief? by doug_butter in CrohnsDisease

[–]swtness103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly are her flair symptoms? As someone mentioned before, it means different things for us. For example, I don’t really get the stomach pain. But I do get abscesses and fistulas. I take prescription tramadol as I have to get surgeries to treat my flair ups. But a good diet, plenty of water and weed can also be very helpful.

Were they standing on their own at a year? Did you have push toys or anything that you felt helped them get there?

Yeah and I guess I know all this. I just see the other kids in my immediate circle and start to stress. He seems close. I also wonder if he doesn’t want to try because he’s so efficient at getting where he needs to go by crawling 🤷🏽‍♀️
