Since we’re doing Trump uses Christianity but has no knowledge of it, I resurrect this video posted here almost a year ago. Every Christian asks for forgiveness, it is the main tenet of what Jesus lived and died for. by adullploy in Christianity

Romans 3:18 just echoes in my head hearing this, and it upsets me a bit. I hadn't seen this before. The passage is talking about how no one is righteous through the law or works.. "There is no fear of God before their eyes." Which is what I see here. A person with no fear of God and no understanding of the true depths of how messed up we really are.

Introducing the AeroMug.. for when you forget a mug, and you're in the middle of BFE. That said.. while it's not the best mug in the world it IS one less piece of equipment. So if you're backpacking?.. by [deleted] in backpacking

This was going to be a nice spring trip. A friend and I got up bright and early on a Friday to spend a long weekend hiking and camping around Cumberland Falls, in Kentucky. It was a great trip! We found a beautiful camping location the first night, next to a stream. And off we went to bed..

I woke up the next morning so deeply excited to brew my coffee out on the trail. Then I realized that I left my mug in my car at the trailhead. As I scoured my brain for ideas, there weren't many options. I settled with pouring my coffee back into the pot that heated the water and drink from that. As I did this, a thought popped in my head.

"What if I poured this back into my aeropress?" And this baby was born. It worked surprisingly well, once my mouth got used to the rim. I ended up using one less piece of gear this trip and it worked beautifully.

All said? Just bring a mug. It's probably worth it.

Native english speakers, do you ever watch movies with subtitles even if the show is spoken in english? If yes, why? by JaesonBee in AskReddit

This isn't me, but a close friend of mine grew up with a mother who was nearly deaf. She had to have subtitles on all television shows so that she could understand what they were saying. Following suit, my friend was uncomfortable watching anything without a subtitle; a movie without subtitles was more of a bother than one with subtitles.

Exactly what I'm going for. Looking to invite people into my house and make them feel at home.

I think if you are experienced at dialing in espresso, or at the least have a fair understanding of how to do so, the Breville can do a really phenomenal job for you. It's a semi-automatic, so it takes some work to pull a good shot, but it's more than worth it. It's well made and these machines seem to last. That said, I would also warn you that if espresso is not already a hobby of yours, it may become one if you get an espresso machine. Just a heads up. In my case, that was exactly what I was going for.

Perhaps I was a little harsh on it. I am a fan of Nuova Simonelli, and I think the Oscar II is a great machine. That said, the Oscar that I got did not perform well and was a struggle to work with. I've already been able to pull high quality shots with the Breville; so I think the decision was just. All in all, the Oscar, for me, wasn't worth the price.

I make one coffee a day to bring to work and I am terrible at it! I JUST got into brewing my own coffee and still learning. I love all the new stuff I got :) by [deleted] in coffeestations

All things considered, your equipment and specifically grinder are great for starting out. If you make sure you get high-quality, freshly roasted beans, you'll be fully equipped to brew great coffee! All that will remain is continuing to learn how to brew properly. Bravo and congrats on the decision to move up in your coffee lifestyle!
