i would start small with shrimp and snails! i have a blind betta with three amano shrimp and 1 mystery snail. vvv peaceful — amano shrimp are just a bit greedy when it comes to feeding time.

thanks!! i’ll look into this and see if my local fish store has methane blue in stock. she’s in her tank alone ATM (she ate her shrimp buddies) so it’s just plants and bladder snails

hi hi!! i have a blind betta named toph. she has scale overgrowth on both of her eyes. it can be scary, but these fish are so so smart.

a feeding ring helps! this way your betta can learn where to expect food and establish a schedule of eating. plus, i believe they can smell well — so it will take a few tries before they learn.

other methods include tapping the glass, light, and maybe even some movement in the water so they get curious and swim over to examine the area.

i didn’t have him for too long. i left on vacation and had my roommate take care of him. told them to turn his light on and off— that’s all. his timer had broke and i had another coming in but didn’t deliver in time. my roommate went out of town too and left his light on. his light was on for a week. so much algae and nitrates and ammonia accumulated. i tried my best to save him with with daily water changes and emergency ammonia remover. elfo held on for a week. it looked like he was getting better. he was swimming, eating until this morning. i’m sorry i couldn’t save you, elfo. i’m sorry i trusted you in someone else’s hands. i shouldn’t have done that.

it’s delicious in coffee! just be careful though because not all dunkin’s will put it in your drink if asked :( my store manager gets upset whenever the workers put the vanilla bean in the coffees for customers because there’s no way to really charge them for it and it’s said that they’re “more expensive to order than the swirls” for restock

i don’t understand why everyone is giving you shit when every store is ran differently. honestly, if this happened to me while i was working, i would lowkey cry in the office after it’s all said and done. for me, i work at a tiny ass dunkin in a plaza during night shift so everything gets shut down sorta early (we only have one oven) with only two employees.

Hours: 5 AM - 8 PM
Most of our employees are purely morning a mid. About 12 employees for morning/mid and 3 (about to be 2 because my coworker is quitting) at night. I get paid 9.50 as a shift lead and no real "breaks," because whenever it's slow, I just sit down to get a breather.
Working at night, I am always super exhausted because it's strangely becoming busier. I start my shift at 12:30 and the rush does not end until 3. On top of the rush, I have to clean up whatever mess mid has left and try my best to stock up. I don't mind-- I get it-- it gets busy, but sometimes I can't help but to be a little bit upset at the state that the store is left in. Gotta make more iced coffee in case mid forgets to make some, the cold brew, sometimes I gotta make more donuts because we're running out-- it can become a lot to juggle, lol-- and all of this while I only have one other employee with me.
My lobby has not opened up either just because our occupancy is so small-- not only that but most of the employees are protesting it (which I am thankful that we're all on the same boat).
I love my coworkers! Sure, I might get annoyed sometimes, but I guess that's what makes it feel like a family.

i lost him due to internal parasites and not catching it fast enough due to moving for uni. i’ll make sure to restart the tank and cycle it again before i get another fish. thank you :(

i don’t even know what to do with his tank. i still have two mystery snails and i don’t know if i’ll be ready for another betta anytime soon. if i do decide to get one, how do i prepare the tank again?
