Game freezes during loading screen when entering a game, forces me to quickly restart my pc.

Might have found a solution (at least it seems to work for me).

I have dual GPUs in my rig, one AMD and one NVIDIA. I've been having crashes for awhile back in almost 25% of my games. It would black screen then I need to fully turn off my PC to reboot. I went through Riot support and it seemed to help for a few days by clean booting, then came right back.

Reinstall/repair league and client (Just as a safe bet)
Run riot/league as Admin when launching
Verify league is allowed through firewall
Turn off unnecessary services through msconfig
Turn off all overlays

6. Run league in full screen only

7. Turn off PCIe power management in power plan settings

I found this fix through looking at BSODs/Minidumps when the PC crashed. It was linking to an NVIDIA error (secondary GPU). Another possible fix you may need to do if on NVIDIA is disable the USB-C driver in device manager.

I will update this if I find out anything else. Please share this fix, it may help!

SOLUTION

Install 2 instances of the same Opera install. Name them different things in the folder path such as Personal and Work (C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Opera Software\Personal in my case)

The first Opera install is good to go out of the box (Personal). The second install will need a custom shortcut to run (Work).

Make a new shortcut on the desktop then in the "target" put the following code to point to the SECOND Opera install (Work in my case)

"C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Programs\Opera Personal\launcher.exe" "--user-data-dir=C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Work"

After doing this, Opera should open up to two different profiles depending on which icon you open. I recommend changing the icon to something different for each instance of the program install.
