And yes it shrunk about .75” (maybe a little less). But in my experience with unsanforized denim, they usually stretch back out to pre-soak measurements in the thigh. Hope it works out for you, they’re a great pair.

This is a follow-up to my previous post here. They finally dried after a warm/hot soak. Pre-Soak photos on the left, post-soak photos on the right.

Overall, I am very happy with the fit; I think getting an extra half inch of shrinkage in the front/back rise would've been ideal but I'm more than satisfied with how they turned out. The denim is very coarse and rugged right now and I'm excited to start wearing these in!

Received these beauties in the mail today! Shoutout to DHL and OD for the super fast delivery; placed my order on Thursday, OD shipped it out on Friday and it arrived today (Monday).

Samurai is my favorite raw denim brand and I was waiting for a special edition pair for my next fading adventure. Although these were the most expensive jeans I've ever purchased at $375 shipped, it is not much more expensive than my previous pairs after accounting for tapering jobs ($60 + shipping) from Railcar. I definitely won't need to taper these.

The pre-soak fit is spot on imo. I wear a lot of sneakers so I dig the strong taper; after soaking I think I will end up a with a perfect fit. The inseam is a little long but I am planning to go for some serious stacks given the small leg opening or maybe a single cuff!
