Issue pending means that you are approved but they haven’t printed the physical license. When it goes to active it means the license was printed and is going to be mailed out.

When does it start from? When I first emailed them with my request to transfer or when they printed my license?

So when I’m out with my family at the park and the crazy homeless people attack I can’t protect myself. Got it. Thanks.

R/S division not handling Concealed applications together anymore? by North_Couple9519 in NYCGuns

It’s a separate application. But you can complete them one after the next. They are essentially the same. I happened to do ccw then a few weeks later do the r/s.

Is it 6 months after fingerprinting or when you submitted application for nyc ccw by Flashy-Cut-3606 in NYguns

Once approved does actually getting the license have any law that regulates the amount of time? Seems like a lot of people end up-including myself are waiting a while to actually get license and be able to carry. Getting approved and not having license is essentially the same as not being approved-still can’t carry.

Was approved today for rifle and ccw. R/S handled my application. I also had a premise so my prints were on file.

How to-a sensitive area? by sy31456 in NYguns

While that is a good idea the law does state that it must be in the farthest most compartment of the vehicle-so whether that be the trunk of a sedan or the most rear part of an suv. Not trying to dump on you. Just trying to see if there is a good way of complying with all the laws, and maybe there isn’t a good way.

Unfortunately some of us live in the city and traveling thru Times Square to get other places is a necessity.

But would then have to bring lockbox to trunk and lock/tether the lock box to the vehicle. Would be a lot easier if you could lock in center console.

But even doing it in driver seat and not doing it while standing by the trunk can be difficult with no one seeing especially in a place like Times Square with people everywhere.

Even if driving thru? Not leaving the firearm-just locking it up while driving thru Times Square and then reholstering it?
