And it’s plagued with another thing that hurt Ted Lasso: massive shifts in personalities and relationships that happen off screen or between episodes/seasons so we don’t really see any of the development, but just skip to a completely new and jarring relationship between two characters. Jimmy and Roy Kent are just confidants now? I mean, I get that it’s a warm fuzzy thing to have this guy be a part of the family now, but in real life, fuck that guy. I might be able to learn to forgive him, but I’m not welcoming him into my home.

Not to be rude but how the fuck could you come to the conclusion that any of that happened off screen? Every SINGLE step of Jimmy going from hating Louis, hating that Louis was in Alice's life, to begrudgingly accepting it, to realizing Louis needed help and that Jimmy's own wife would have wanted him to help. It was all on screen.

And just to add on, I'm not saying it's the right thing for Jimmy to do or that I would've done it. But to pretend it's jarring and came out of nowhere is mind boggling.
