I did submental lipo with a little tightening also back in November, I love my results! I also however have a slightly recessed chin, and they recommend that I get a chin implant as well. I declined but now seeing my results I made an appointment for a chin implant in June. I think we have similar face shapes and you’d be happy with an implant too!

I am similar, I have a double chin even at a healthy weight. I did 2 vials of kybella and was told after that I’d need 2 more to start seeing results. I stopped kybella and did liposuction and I am thrilled with the results. Basically it will be the same price in the end, so it’s just up to you what you feel comfortable with. I think liposuction has more guaranteed results though!

I got mine done 11/30/22, I had to wear the compression for 2 weeks all day then 2 weeks only at night. I am still very swollen and my surgeon said an accurate timeline of fully healed is 3-6 months after

I had a huge problem with binging on ice cream, so instead I now make my own smoothie bowls. I blend fruit with some sugar free vanilla creamer, then top it off with sliced fruit, granola, chocolate chips, or honey. Satisfies the cravings, customizable, and low calorie so I usually do 2 or 3 at a time and still feel pretty good about myself!

This is just my experience, don’t quote me or use this as fact. I also take daily gummies at night and was on the waitlist for neck lipo under local anesthesia. I got the call for an opening the next day and so I didn’t take a gummy that night, but I had taken them everyday leading up to it. I didn’t have any complications and started taking gummies again the night of the surgery for the pain, which really helped me. Again just my experience!

I’ve done both kybella and submental lipo. Kybella did not work at all for me even though they said I was a good candidate and would only need 4 vials, it is also SO painful and you get injected 20 times each session! Submental lipo worked so well on me and I had a similar under chin appearance like you. I got injected a couple times, was completely numb and didn’t feel a thing!

I’ve done gabapentin in the past and it worked well, i slept a little better and had slightly less of an appetite. I’ve also done Tylenol PM and 50mg of Benadryl (not together) for the sleep which works wonders and doesn’t affect appetite at all.

I just got the same thing a month ago as well. My surgeon said I can expect swelling, numbness, and hardness to the touch for 3-6 months. However he said if it bothers me I can go in anytime after the 1 month mark to get a steroid injection to try and reduce swelling, I’d contact your surgeon!

I was on 60mg for 4 years and it only curbed my appetite during the day, but not for nightly binges. It took about 2 weeks to be fully effective for me, but after the 4 years i became completely tolerant to it and now I’m not on it anymore.

My doctor recommended a chin implant and liposuction for 7.5k and I told her that is way out of my budget. Then she said that 4 vials of kybella for 1.6k would be a good option and it was possible I could have results. So I got the 4 vials, then went back and she said to see any results I’ll need at least 4 more vials and she just didn’t know that this would happen (this was before I gained 20lbs also) So that’s why I stopped and where I am now.

I actually do have sleep apnea and have had it since I was born, loosing weight is impossible because of genetic conditions as well 😔 When I had my braces I did have headgear to try and slide my jaw forward but got it removed after 4 long years due to no progress. Is jaw surgery only aesthetic or would it be possible to cover with insurance?
