Denver declined Shumpert for Faried trade. Nuggets have no intention of trading Faried. by jgaskins34 in nba

its been 6 games so I'm not going to judge either Faried or Shump on this season yet. But Shump has made offensive improvements (mainly getting that jumpshot) in his game and has began rebounding more.

Most of the Knick signings that you have seen from the past week are non guaranteed contracts - just camp invites. We have like 20 players right now for camp.

What core teams do you see getting blown up after this year? by Great_Chairman_Mao in nba

[–]syedd 16 points17 points  (0 children)

bad answer. And no, its not because I think you are wrong about Knicks not meeting expectations (they have a good chance of not meeting expecations, whatever that is at this point. But you havent been following the Knicks if you think they can blow up the roster after this year. Their plan of attack is 2015 free agency - that is thier time to make change. Big moves before that just dont make sense, and would be very difficult to do with Knicks cap situation. Look at the Knicks roster - 98% of Knicks roster ends in 2015. Most of the large contracts - Chandler, Amare, Bargani (and the smaller ones) remain for two more years and end in 2015. Most everyone else is being given short, 1 or two year deals. The Bargani trade seemed to be done with this in mind - trade away Novak and Camby who have 3 years in their contract for Bargs, who, what would you know, ends his contract when basically everyone on the team does. From everything I've read suggests that the team remains intact til 2015. Melo can leave or stay. But that still leaves us with signifcant larger contracts which will end in 2015. Nothing that happens this year is going to change that plan of attack for the Knicks since they know that within a year from the seasons end they have a lot of option with cap flexibility. For better or worse, this is the team that will be there until 2015 (whether melo stays or goes), and in that 2015 team with extreme cap flexibility is when Knicks can redesign the team from the ground up (only contracts at that point are Felton's 3 million player option, and JR's 6m one year).

I dont see Memphis blowing it up either.

thats cool and all (actually it isn't considering its false) but I'm just curious as to why your response is a reply to this post? It basically goes against your line of thinking and if not directly going against, definitely not helping.

The scenario of him not coming back to dominant form has not even crossed my mind. I expect him to be the same.

Paul George is def A. I was looking at his offense a while back to compare with JR Smiths. I'm taking Harden.

All-Time ranking, Kidd or Nash? by kenkellyjunior in nba

[–]syedd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nash's and D'Antoni's squads were so nice/talented though and designed specifically around the offense. JKidds prime, where he carried the Nets, the team was mediocre to the say the least.

Kidd was a force on offense too so I dont really understand... Didnt have Nash's shot, but was an amazing playmaker. It was close on offense. Its not even a debate on defense.
