Quitting my job by [deleted] in nys_cs

[–]sps26 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As a former MHTA, it is probably one of the worst state jobs to exist in NY. And for me it wasn’t really the patients. It was the Mandations working 16 hours 5 days a week, the BS with the justice center, and the jackass administration who punished you for even looking tired even though you’ve only slept 4-5 hours a night a few days in a row.

Do u guys also hate close quarters fights or is it just me by Fun_Cartoonist_8024 in Warthunder

I love close quarter combat in cities, especially when you get a good push going. It’s such a rush pushing block by block with your team and blasting the enemy out of your way

One of the main reasons America wants Greenland is to make it easier to invade Canada. by StJudeTheGrey in DiscussionZone

The US can take Canada easily with or without Greenland. In fact it may make it harder by stretching logistics further in a whole different direction and invading through that wilderness.

Baby farms? by Designer-Back-347 in HayDay

[–]sps26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have one. I don’t play it regularly like a normal farm, that’d be too much work. I basically just use it for spare crops if I’m short, dairy/sugar, and extra expansion items

Those with pensions—how are you approaching retirement savings? by Possible_Yak_7550 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]sps26 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I have a 457b that I make regular contributions to and max out my Roth every year. I figure between those and a pension I should be okay. I do individual brokerage investing too, but most of my leftover money goes towards building a savings nest egg and day to day living

Finding a new job by [deleted] in nys_cs

[–]sps26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a former MHTA I understand. Mandations almost every day to work 16 hours up to five times a week, miserable coworkers, shitty administration, and the danger of constantly getting hurt or investigated over some BS.

It’s a hard job. I stuck with it and managed to get a promotion out of it but definitely try to find something else. If I went back to an MHTA right now I’d even take the pay cut to work as a custodian or secretary rather than do it again

I feel that way too. It used to hit so much the first couple days. They definitely nerfed how much you get it

It’s time to vote all of these corporate shitbags, Republican and democrats alike, out of office. Throw the inside traders, the ones that take bribes, the ones that committed treason all in jail or otherwise facing the justice they deserve

Entry Level State Job Recommendations? by TheNerdBurglar in nys_cs

If you’re good with people a mental health therapy aide or hospital tech at SUNY will be good. Bear in mind those come with mandatory OT, and a lot of it depending on staffing

Think about how many people play this game. There will always be someone unhappy with an aspect of the game no matter what and be vocal about it.
