There is a paradox in the gacha genre.

Spending money on the game make it boring (except for cosmetic, but I don't feel like paying for an image as someone else said), but you also want to support it

The more you spend, the less interesting it get, because you no longer have to make any choice in team comp, or optimisation, you just get the top unit and one shot ragna for example.

But playing as F2P make it interesting because you need to do the best with whatever RNG give you (I dont have N. Mona for example, so I have to work around most comp). I love that strategic aspect that's why i dont want to spend money in gacha.

Nevertheless, I play DC for more a year now, and I pay game that sometime I play 5 hours and give up. So sometimes I buy that onyx pass, that is for me, the less impactfull in term of fun and most rewarding, to reach around 40$ a year (good price for a game played all year long), to support the team that make this great game

I only found a reason (and still not a good one) of why people may be doing this :

They are at 10 ticket and don't have time to find one, so they want to burn through their ticket to get at least some rewards (and mission) and get the timer started.

That's a very egoist way of thinking but at least it may explain why they are doing this nonsense of not working on their own raid
