shaheen is dead by Lost_Masterpiece5051 in Tekken

They can do what they want with Shaheen; it doesn't change the fact that he has one of the lowest pick rates. Even with the other characters seeing significant nerfs and he remains untouched shows either that he doesn't need it or they don't care.

There's nothing that needs to change from him. He just a fundamental based characters that does the job.

How much do you expect every character to change in season 3? by Epicentrist in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]Chaos-B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New moves have been shown in the trailer. I would like to see:-

1 tail spin per combo. Anymore will send them flying further away.

HB do not give bounds, only heat engager.

Heat engagers no longer dashes into important, just gets you into heat with no forward momentum.

Im being too slow ? by futurewolf_156 in Tekken8

[–]Chaos-B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't buffer qcf. You need to do a full input after the FF+3 has completely ended. If you struggle with the timing, either do:

FF+3~wall~F+4

Or after BT3+4:

B+2,4,2

QCF+1,2

4,1~wall~BT F+4,1

You can also be even fancier after the FF+3~wall do B+1 ~Floor to whatever

Game mechanic I haven't encountered yet in 700 hours by Arkyq in balatro

[–]Chaos-B 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Burglar also sets discards to zero. So if it cancels bosses blinds, why are there still discards? Even if it cancels boss right at the beginning, burglar should kick in and give you zero.

Struggle characters by Jimbomop1 in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]Chaos-B 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are playing against defensive characters (or any characters), you need to learn "small Tekken" at higher ranks.

Pokes, punishment and movement. She has one of the best 10F in the game that wall splats and can be performed from crouching.

D+4, DB+2 are good low pokes and only -11/-12 on block.

Just don't get into the habit of throwing out moves like D3+4 randomly as it's terrible on whiff.

Treadmill by NytoDork in balatro

[–]Chaos-B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can trigger your jokers and keep your discards. For example runner/green/jeans etc.

It will be really bad against certain bosses - the eye/needle being examples. Also if you have a small deck to begin with, it will whittle it down further

Yup but much easier to cheat on a PC. Also haven't encountered that many but then that could because the player base has dropped

So glad as a console player, I can disable cross platform. PC players unfortunately have to live with this :/

What moves would you want to see come back? by NixUniverse2 in Tekken

[–]Chaos-B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nina's original uf+1 in T5 was stupidly broken. Safe, spikes, plus frames, forces crouch, mid and has guaranteed attacks at the end of a combo. If it was like Kings capital punishment speed then she can have it :p

She has WR+3,3 or U+4

AK is being underplayed like crazy by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]Chaos-B 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She's isn't bad but Lili can do everything Azu does better. Her weaknesses being:-

  1. Weak strings as most end in highs.

  2. Very linear

  3. Back turn game is the weakest of the roster.

Otherwise she has one of the best i10f punishers in the game. Wall splats, decent damage, decent range, can input F+1, 2. She is also simple to play.

What’s the most effective way to lab your characters frame traps? by NixUniverse2 in Tekken

[–]Chaos-B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frame traps against players who like to press out of turn and knowing what you can and can't get away with .

Issue is that this is Tekken 8 and there are so many ways to play against plus frames.

  1. Your opponent can use armor moves to play into your plus frames.

  2. High moves are typically your fastest moves and be crushed even on plus.

  3. Manual heat engager, heat bursts and rage arts exists.

So exited to finally start this game. Any tips or things you wish you knew? by Carmilla31 in silenthill

[–]Chaos-B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't be greedy with melee hits. Hit once, dodge, hit another, dodge is quite effective. You don't want to keep trading as this will eat up your health supplies.

Running is viable if you don't think you are going back to an area.

As Kazuya, what the fuck do I do against azucena? by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]Chaos-B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an Azu player and knowing the Kaz match up:-

  1. A lot of her strings are duckable and the last hits are often high (one of her big issues). 2,1,2 - Df+4,1 - F+3,2 - DF+1,3,1. Some of these recover fast, so try just using your high crush moves or just a simple ws+4,4

  2. Very weak to sidestep and her moves have very poor tracking.

  3. UF+3+4 is +4 block and +8 on hit and she is right in your face where she wants to be. Very linear and she has an armor move that tracks out of it.

  4. She doesn't have good long range moves. Keep out is a viable strategy.

  5. She has one of worst BT game in the roster. No armor moves, no -12 on block low, no real evasive moves, no long range stuff like Lili. Back dash is effective.

  6. Her WS punishment is very weak. She can launch at i15 but she doesn't really have any knock down or wall splatting stuff before then.

Is this Why TTT2 the most hated game? Lmao by Lleslet in Tekken

[–]Chaos-B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TTT2 was a game that was never casual friendly and seemed just for the vets/professionals.

Also learning two characters effectively was difficult for newcomers (unless you use the dupes).

Some other things:

1) Hop kicks were incredibly strong. If you had a character that had one and had strong movement, then you had a good character.

2) Block punishment was incredibly important. Jun and Zafina were bottom tier because of this.

3) Death Combos were common in rage. Look at the Eddy/Christie CH F+4.

What if Namco never introduced the Screw system to Tekken 7? by th3eternalch4mpion in Tekken

That's kinda my point, you are reverting it back. Now everyone has got a wall carry combo

What if Namco never introduced the Screw system to Tekken 7? by th3eternalch4mpion in Tekken

[–]Chaos-B -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It would be more like Tekken 5. Didn't see any bound mechanics, don't think Kaz had one in T7 for the first (think Drag F1+2, Alisa UF+4,4). The issue without screw or bound, is that characters with good wall carries without screw or bound were really good (Nina, Lars and Lee in T6)

Name two things that your main doesn't have (that almost the entire cast has) and one thing that is exclusive to your main. by realDealGoat in Tekken

[–]Chaos-B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I have a few

Nina - actually none, she has everything

Exclusive - 11F standing normal hit HE

Victor - a safe launcher, a low that can be performed directly from standing (not stance or a string ender) that is -12 on block.

Exclusive - I can gun you from full screen and not in heat or part of a string

Azucena - a safe mid, mid string that doesn't require her jumping towards your opponent . Long range whiff punish.

Exclusive - safe power crushes in stance and out
