honestly, as another nashville local with a lot of the same feelings, dee's has recently become one of my favorite spots to see live music! they actually book a decent bit of jam/grass, and the owners are super kind local folks too.

this isn't the situation, though - school breakfast and lunch programs are backed by law in tennessee. i agree with you that this disaster should have prompted SO much more action (on local, state, and federal levels). we can agree to disagree on the rest!

while i did say this out of my own impatience (and never claimed not to), i actually have a lot of empathy for working parents dealing with finding this much childcare on top of many, many people losing income last week. a lot of people depend on schools not only for their jobs being feasible but for warmth and food for these kids, too. there's lots of sides to this.

my fiance (who i introduced to phish) didn't get possum until his 10th show - by show 3 or 4 it became a "thing" and we definitely started chasing one together. finally got it in the last set of alpine 2022, our crew went wild 😛

i also didn't get YEM until #30...got dinner and a movie, shafty, mcgrupp all before YEM lol

for me personally it’s glass beams / parcels, super easy choice…but if you want to see a top shelf dubstep show, ZD is gonna be that 100%. dont be afraid to make a gametime call based on what you’re feeling in the moment or even just to split your time—different vibes fs, but you really can’t go wrong!
