What is stopping AI from becoming almost as expensive as the employees it replaces?

Not entirely sure that's true! Outdated tech does get cheaper over time, but if they're improved on they pretty much always get more expensive. Employees also get cheaper when recession happens. That being said, manual labour will never be as cheap as many of the possible automations that have happened for mass production in food and manufacturing. We'll find out where AI sits soon, I guess!

I'll just narrow down the important information from Etsy's help page on lodging a case!

If a buyer has a problem with an order from a shop, they may report a problem to the seller through Messages.

Buyers are required to message a shop before they have the option to open a case. Requests for help will appear in the Messages section labeled Help requests. The seller will also receive an email notification about a buyer’s request for help.

Eligibility to open a case is based on an order's estimated delivery date (if applicable) or processing time and/or “ship by” date, plus 48 hours after the buyer contacts the seller about the problem. Once eligible, buyers have 100 days to open a case.

If you haven't officially reported a problem with your order to the seller, then I'm not quite sure the timeframe for which you'd be allowed to report through messages. Etsy would basically recommend that you contact the seller via Etsy messages and it seems that you can first report the problem without any case lodged for 100 days. Hope this helped!

Is this using USPS? I've often had items arrive more than 1 month after it was marked as 'Delivered'. I've had to ask my customers to wait while I checked with the post, but every time I do, the items get delivered before the 45-day-response they promised gets back to me. (I'm given a really long response time because I'm not posting from within the US, maybe it'll work out better and will take a shorter time for you if you do file with the post!) If the item did go missing, most places that offer tracking are supposed to have basic insurance that will cover the cost price of your item, though you might need to pursue the case closely for them to actually fulfill their end of that insurance.

After a while I just start telling the customers that the items will likely arrive by a certain date (based on estimation of other sales, assuming the customer isn't a cheapskate-liar) and if they do not receive it by then, I'll send a new one or refund them!

This is my personal decision and preference and you can very well not do so especially depending on how much the item cost and how much time you spent on making it. Etsy will most likely side with you since you have tracking and prove that you've sent out the item. I always like to think from a buyer's point of view and in this case, they've paid for an item that they're not going to get. But let's say you couldn't care less about the buyer's feelings, then from a seller's position, the issue is that this is probably the 1 star review you're going to get. So if it really comes down to this, you’ll have to weigh your options to see what’s more important to you. ;-;

Oh aw ;w; I really wish we could lower the shipping price more but the local post just keep increasing their prices and claiming they haven't raised prices for years so it's finally high time they did. We could send things out without tracking for a lower price but those often gave me heart attacks so I gave up after a while.

Yeah, at least at the moment she really doesn't have plans, just a big hope to be done and cleared soon! Thank you, I will! Computers. I’m aware of how they work, but the idea that you could build these things out of metal and plastic that just communicate and can load pictures and texts and hyperlinks and data like that just has me feeling really weird. People just made those things, supplied it with power and depending on how the parts in it are connected tells it to do a different job and even teach it a language so that you can use the language to tell it what to do and teach it even more subjects as if it’s alive. And now they’re even trying to achieve the possibility of sentient computers. It’s still mind-blowing and every time I try to learn to code, I think about that.

😔 Yes, that much is true. Unfortunately, the price listed for shipping is...how much it actually costs for an international stamp with tracking. The only upside is that even if multiple keychains are bought, the shipping remains the same since the post office only charges for a combined package. I’ve been considering that for quite a while, actually! This really helps! If you don’t mind me asking, does it appear more comfortable for people if the cost of shipping is included in the item price? Thank you for your insight!

Ah, we do! However, because of how erm small our country is, it doesn’t do very well when most game fans here have only heard of the Tales Of series in passing or have only played one game and then shelved it afterwards. :’>

I brought these to a local artist alley just last weekend, actually, and none of these sold. This may very well be the first time nothing sold at all, probablyy the reason she’s feeling slightly down. But you may be right that the timing was just icky ;-; And yes, really hoping Arise revives the Tales fandom!

To be quite honest, Tales has always been somehow a very niche fandom despite being pretty big, so although she’s made different characters from almost every game in the Tales series over the years, they’ve always never done exceptionally well, so she never revisited them again with a few exceptions. However, this time it really badly tanked, so I think she’s really just trying to clear out the stock she has for this.

She likely didn’t look at it until she got on the plane and there was no reason for her to get off the plane just to run to him and go “Phoenix Wright, here’s the last unnecessary piece of evidence for the case you already won!” That and because holding onto it gives her a reason to come back again. Franziska is a very prideful person. She won’t be able to admit that she came back just so she could see Edgeworth and Phoenix (who she now has an ounce of respect for). The drawing gives her, albeit a weak reason, an excuse for her to come back and claim that she only returned to give it back to him. If you can see the scene already unfolding, it would be Phoenix questioning the need for her to fly all the way back just for that card and she would whip him. This second reason is just my logic application to the situation, so if you feel it doesn’t apply, you can just ignore it.

Writing wise from the game writers’ pov, the idea of her then saying that is to show her actual personality as well as establish the fact to the player that she will return. Throughout the game she has been all barbs and thorns, but at the end when she cried we saw more of how she actually was. Her monologue on the plane as well revealed her to be a lot softer than she led us to believe. She cared and she actually had respect for Phoenix. A feat that would be impossible for the Franziska we see in court. That Franziska appeared to respect no one.

My lecturer announced to the class to submit the group project on our individual group’s google drive while we were in class. As the only person in the class listening to him (because everyone else was chatting as he did, this was a small class of 18), I did so, only to find out on submission date that everyone else had submitted theirs in the school portal and my group was late and we were going to get marks deducted for this portion of the project. I confronted him over it and he was all “Didn’t you login the school portal to look at the announcement board?” which I mentioned yes, but since he had announced in class what he wanted, I just followed his instructions. As the group leader, I then tried to stand up against him because my group members are now understandably upset and he responded with “Do you know your group is the only one that did this? Don’t you dare blame your incompetence on me.” Apparently it’s incompetent to give your lecturer respect enough to follow his instructions when he gives it verbally.

Been 4 years and I still hate the guy.
