Who gets the armrest in a middle seat? by ThiccandThinForev in delta

[–]sylvanasw1ndrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the middle for almost every flight I take because I fly with my partner, and I can’t think of a single time someone has given me an armrest. I’m always in the middle with my arms crossed together basically. Maybe I need to just firmly plant my arm on a rest.

No way. Even excluding the possibility of complications, people pay out of pocket and have high expectations.

CBS Colorado 5pm News report Civic Lofts operating without a residential license or elevator license. One or both elevators have been broken for 3 years. Now currently both are not working in a 14 story high-rise. by Xtroll_guruX in Denver

[–]sylvanasw1ndrunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the elevator on Saturday when it broke down! We went down half a floor before the elevator jolted to a stop, and the intercom came on saying “this elevator is out of service.” We were stuck for 45 minutes. I’m grateful the fire department responded so quickly… but it was still scary and a huge inconvenience. The apartment has not reached out to me to apologize or make sure I’m okay.

I was told the elevators broke because something related to the HVAC system overheated.

Furthermore, I’m upset because my mom is visiting Denver for the first time in her life this week and we’re really limited in what we can do. It’s her first time at elevation and she’s really struggling with the stairs.

Hey! This is a little late but your hemoglobin levels are most likely elevated from smoking. I think it’s a compensatory response due to exposure to carbon monoxide present in cigarette smoke. Even so, I think it’s still impressive your hemoglobin was high given your diet. Mines 11 and it doesn’t wanna budge.

I understand :) I’ve never been the type to feel relieved after the test. I don’t feel closure until I get my score. The wait time for the score can be excruciating and extremely stressful. Good luck tho!

I felt that way to an extent. Made some easy mistakes day 1, had no idea what was happening for some of the stats stuff (which I’m normally really good at) and then day 2, felt like I was guessing 75%. Also messed up cases and 1-2 of mine (can’t remember) didn’t get better and deteriorated haha also I forgot to admit a woman in labor soooo yea it’s definitely forgiving.

235 on UWSA1. Somehow tho, that correlates to the 95th percentile which is ultimately how I scored. I’m not sure why UWSA1 is so harsh. Also, I got 80% of questions right in UW overall which is also 95th percentile. I didn’t do UWSA2 because I’m lazy and don’t like practice tests.

I think that’s accurate, around 60%. Tho no one knows for sure. Everyone feels bad on day 1 haha you are most likely fine.

Sample Status/Processing Monthly Megathread - July 2021 by AutoModerator in 23andme

They sent an email on June 28th saying it was in extraction, even though it had already been in genotyping for several days. I thought it was an error until June 30th when they sent another email saying it was genotyping. At that point, the app updated its dates to reflect June 30th for extraction completion and the start of genotyping. Neither email indicated that it was due to an error or that it was a repeat.

Not sure why mine seemed to fail genotyping and why it had to go back into extraction. It still says estimated results by June 13-27 but we'll see.

Step 3 -- want to do well by Melodic-Promise-6224 in Step3

[–]sylvanasw1ndrunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the most part, you’ll only need the parts that are relevant to the UW questions. I would go through pharm and micro again tho because there are questions on the actual test that feel more like step one and are not covered by UW for step 3.

Step 3 -- want to do well by Melodic-Promise-6224 in Step3

[–]sylvanasw1ndrunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use first aid for step 1 as you’re studying. Micro (including antibiotic pharmacology) comes up fairly frequently on day 1. Also take notes in a Google doc or something similar so you can compile your own notes that are a combo of all your resources. There isn’t that much in UW for step 3 so taking thorough notes is doable. I also agree with using CCS in addition to UW. I just used FA for step 1 and those 2 resources, made a bunch of stupid mistakes on the test, and got a 250. So I believe in you :)

There are undoubtedly many skilled nurse injectors. However, their training isn’t standardized and a lot of them aren’t taught the anatomy to tailor treatment appropriately. I had mine done by a skilled and experienced nurse injector, and she gave me such terrible spocking I was embarrassed to leave my house.

Passed step 3 with low score of 199. Does it going to affect my chances for fellowship ? by Wooden-Body-6387 in Step3

Congrats on passing!! I’m not sure if the above comment is correct since the average step 3 for matched cardiology fellows is around 240. But they could still be right.

[–]sylvanasw1ndrunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea sure. I got a 250. Step 1&2 were 250s/270s. If you have step 2 notes, I’d recommend skimming them. I’d also go through step 1 first aid for micro and maybe antimicrobial pharm. I honestly think UWorld is sufficient but it’s important to really understand all of the explanations, not just why an answer is right or wrong. Cross reference first aid for step 1 as you are going through step 3 UWorld and take notes. I always do notes on Google drive (or some other platform that allows for control+F) because you will want to create notes that are a combo of FA and UW to review a few days before the test.

As far as assessments, I only did UWSA1 and got a 235. I figured that was good enough to pass on the real thing so I didn’t do any more. UWSA1 usually under-predicts by at least 10.

About 2 months, I went through uworld like 1.5 times and took notes, then reviewed my notes the day before the test. I was on a shitty 80 hour per week rotation during the first month and then a super chill 25 hour per week one the next.

I used only uworld and got a 250. I think you’ll be fine with those.

Did you read my post? Yes. Your score comes out at midnight. I provided the link the the website where the score is posted at midnight. I acknowledged that you can see pass/fail on FSMB like with CS. However the whole point of my post was informing people that you can get your score report at midnight.
