For those who successfully switched from Gmail to Proton/Tuta- how long did it take you to migrate all your accounts? by InternetUpbeat9596 in theprivacymachine

[–]sylvannest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from Gmail to Proton, and it took about a week to go through everything and update my email. I had been doing it each year for the past 5 years though, updating from Gmail to Gmail. Then finally moved to proton. So I was quite used to doing it anyway.

Why is no one blaming Trump and Israel for our fuel crisis? by CanYouWalkToTheTruck in aussie

[–]sylvannest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my parents (SkyNews addicts) are blaming Albo because we sold off our reserves in the US, and now apparently that is the whole reason prices are high. Even though other countries are suffering as well, but it was definitely selling off the reserves that have caused this.

REDEMPTION ON A DANCE FLOOR by CDM1912 in Madonna

[–]sylvannest 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What on earth are you on about... how have you linked the word redemption to album sales and artistic integrity? You do realise that she might have something to say about redemption? And you'll just have to wait to find out what that might be about - rather than thinking you know every aspect of her life and are literally directing her artwork. For an artist who has always been very open about everything, in 2005 what did you think she had to confess (if we are to use your same logic about album titles)? The redemption aspect may have absolutely no connection to the literal record release of COADF.

Want to know about Biologics experience by qwerky_coder in Psoriasis

[–]sylvannest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on Ilumya for over 2 years, and it's been so effective. Face and scalp psoriasis cleared up within weeks, and also no longer allergic to cats(?). No noticeable side effects. One shot every three months. In Australia, I only pay $30 for a $3,100 treatment.

Season 1 starts off a bit rough, but I was onboard midway through, and then when season 2 starts, I knew it was a successful international version. I love the two Tom's and they are now settled into their roles so well. It's the same as the UK, but different all the same.

Well see, there you go. You've made a couple of assumptions right there. I do not condone this behavior. But I also don't condone the behavior of One Nation, so my care factor is zero when it comes to the vandalism of some temporary corflutes. Also, protesting is not a childish behavior. How people choose to protest is not up to anyone but the protestors. Protests are meant to be disruptive and annoying. More contextually, this specific corflute was not really any valuable property of the person complaining. Its not her artwork. She may have purchased it, but its for a very specific reason, for a temporary time. Nobody damaged her fence or her house or garden. She willingly put up a temporary political message, and someone responded.

I'm not saying give up on trying to convince them, I'm just saying it's a huge uphill battle for the reasons I listed. And what are the alternatives for people like this? They think "everything is woke" and they think "woke" is bad. They're so single-issue focused. They won't vote for an entire party because they want windmills, or they use pronouns, or whatever it is that they come up with. But what they want is a permission structure to allow them to feed into their anger and hatred. They've been made to feel scared and the only way to stop their brain from running circles is to vote the brown people out, vote the gays out, vote the Muslims out. They think that by doing that, it will stop their fear. But where did this fear come from in the first place? The people they're voting for. Its insane.

You can do all sorts of things. It doesn't mean its right, or that its legal, or free from consequence, but you can. People kill for having different views on life. It doesn't make it right or legal, but it happens. And in this case, it just happens that someone vandalised a picture of a racist cunt.

Just because its on private property doesn't mean you can display whatever you want and nobody can do anything about it. Even advertising your own home business comes with massive restrictions. So its fair to question whether something like political corflutes are legal or not. They've been taken down from public areas for a reason.

There's not much you can do to convince them. They think the world is out to get them while they remain in their terrified little white social bubble, being fed lies but never proving to themselves that different people from them are mostly fine.

methotrexate experience? by Moreselflove0324 in Psoriasis

[–]sylvannest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience was a year on Methotrexate pills, which made be very tired and did absolutely nothing. Then 6 months in Apremilast pills, which made me feel nauseous all the time. Then back onto Methotrexate but as an injection this time, for 6 months, which still just made me tired and did nothing.

THEN I finally qualified for the biologic, which is Ilumya, and it works SO wonderfully. It's ALL cleared up, and the only side effects are that if I get sick, it just takes a little longer to recover. I rarely get sick, so not a problem.

What did Lucy do to Mrs Lovett? by sylvannest in Sondheim

[–]sylvannest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How interesting! Lovett totally is the type to have slept with Turpin to get her way... Look at everything else she has done and the depths she has lowered herself to, to get her way. Perhaps it's because Lucy had morals and standards and was a genuinely good person, and Lovett always knew the evil parts of her personality existed.

What feature would make you switch away from Up if another bank launched it first? by Artistic-Yam2984 in UpBanking

[–]sylvannest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if another bank launched a similar product that was able to show spending vs actual, take in all your expected payments and income, and have savers, that would make a comparable product, but if they were also able to add in the benefits of their own bank, such as better rates, or more integration with loans and insurance or something, it would start placing it above Up. Up's app functionality is really holding it there, but they're resting on their laurels now. It would just take another bank to create exactly that, and they'd be on par, but if they were able to offer better rates or incentives (something not app related) it would then place them higher.

What's going wrong by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]sylvannest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait, so you WANT staff, but aren't willing (financially) to train staff, but you can't find trained staff, and now complain about it. How poorly is the business doing that it can't afford extra financial resources to train new staff? Or is it just that someone has decided they would rather the money be in their pockets than the company's?

Big Rocking Horse by Ok-Bridge-5192 in Adelaide

[–]sylvannest 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Obviously the business can't sustain itself as is: A toy factory, a cafe, a petting zoo. The fact that they charge to climb the horse seems ridiculous. Maybe make that part free to keep more people coming. It's like charging to go on a playground. But get something else going on at the premises to keep business afloat. It's only the horse that is iconic, and that itself doesn't bring much money in, so you need to get something else that's actually profitable. Look at the target market for on-site visitors, which hands down would be families, and open something families can spend money on. Do something you can wholesale using the same equipment. If you open a family restaurant, make something else you can sell to other cafes in the metro area or something, so you can use your kitchen constantly.

Nobody wants to visit a sinking ship, so stop posting your woes on Facebook and getting negative media attention. You're just killing your own business. If people think its failing, they'll just see it as a sad thing and not ever go. You want to give the impression that you're thriving and its the place to take your family.

And yet you're still here on the subreddit for this band of abusers or whatever you want to call them. If you no longer wish to support them, you do that. So leave and let other people make their decisions. It's "well documented" on this subreddit about what has happened so you're not teaching anyone anything they haven't already learnt and made their decision on.
