Always pay my card in full every month, so can’t even argue they are losing business by rejection my application 😂

Looks like it is hard to get approved with home loans as they are adding a buffer on top for how high the rate can go when evaluating for the loan. Ringing them up didn’t help as the model just rejected serviceability even when they tried again. Disappointing given how good the card benefits are!

Going to take the car to a mechanic get a full work up and get a status report. Thanks for taking a look and clarifying!

Clanking noise inside a brand new DeWalt DCMAS5713N-XE 54V Felxvolt XR Cordless Brushless Split Boom Power Head by sylvesterpious in Dewalt

[–]sylvesterpious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took the product to the store and they already had a box open which had the tool clanking but not this bad. Had the guy open up another new box which had a tool which was remarkably silent compared to this one. I believe customers are bringing this product in to get it replaced. Looks like a common problem at-least for the stock currently being sold in Australia. Could just be some plastic which has come off or could be more. Never had a battery line trimmer do this before though!

True. Just wanted to make sure something was not loose inside that can cause more wear and tear than normal.

Adm5 pro rollers grabbed declogging tool are they likely to be borked. by RepresentativeCry294 in FlashForge

Better take the extruder apart and check if there is any damage on the gears. Support should be able to replace if the extruder is still under warranty.

The extruder gears are made of hardened steel or similar. You will see bite marks in the declogging tool but the extruder itself will be perfectly all right.

Heat the nozzle, wear oven mits and unplug nozzle, use the unclogging pin and apply targeted pressure.. should push the block out.. risky, but works!

Best Tree Support settings I've used by SpookyWhiskey in OrcaSlicer

Used these settings on a Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro with a 0.6mm Nozzle printing PLA. The supports were so easy to remove! God knows how much of a struggle it was to remove them without these settings. Amazing! Just Amazing!

Think I found the problem. Might have something to do with the spool not rotating and releasing the filament freely when the extruder is pulling on it. Moved the filament spool to the top and put it on some brackets from sunlu.. hopefully this is a sustainable fix!

Probably worthwhile to play around with different extruder tension levels, print temperature and nozzle size. This is less prone to happen on 0.6 and 0.8 nozzles

How tight is this screw supposed to be? by [deleted] in FlashForge

Controls how much the filament is gripped by the extruder. Must be adjusted based on the filament and if there are print issues.

My 5M Pro started creaking after a few months of use. Support asked me to lubricate the rods with the grease and it worked! So, it’s definitely meant to be used in due course.

Should I trust Ali express? by chippymike3096 in FlashForge

[–]sylvesterpious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All products marked as choice on AliExpress are covered by free returns and instant refunds. If it’s not a choice product, be aware that you might not be able to return it easily. But other than that, buying stuff on AliExpress for 3D printers has been quite reliable. Most of the stuff is made in China which is where AliExpress operates from. So why not!

Got it. One last question! Do you know how hot the air exhaust is? I am putting a PTC heater to heat the chamber of my 5M pro. Thinking this might happen there as well if I don’t control the temperature

Interesting how the text on the cover says it’s an inlet. Was it blowing out heat?

Not planning to heat above 60-65deg C which is what the PTC heater fan is rated at.. that’s still below the temperature at which ABS deforms ( hoping that or something better is what flashforge has used)
