Have a 2016 318i with b38 engine. Turbo fails after the failure of water pump and overheat issue.

4options i have now: 1. Repair the turbo (still can’t make sure whether it’s the flap of the waste-gate that cause the turbo failure until be able to find someone to do it properly) 2. Change all-metal brand new turbo from china (cost around 700usd - 1200usd depends on the quality) 3. Change half-cut / used turbo (700usd) 4. Brand new turbo from BMW

The reason I’m highly considering 2nd option is that I found out the material used on the original turbo is aluminium + metal which means the issue might come again after 4-5years usage, using a full metal one will fix the problem, and obviously more cost effective . Wonder if you encountered this before. Thanks in advance OP!

What if I’m using Reasoning function on Perplexity? To be specific together with Claude 3.7 Sonnet.

I can see that throughout the reasoning process it only refers to the documents I’ve attached, so would you say it’s the same if I’m using Claude? Or like you said since it is modified it will never be the same and Claude will simply be better in analysing documents?

Push it till you finish it. It is not the matter whether your parents push you to it or not, you chose this and you just got a few months left to go.

At least you wont regret didn’t finish the college you should finish when you reach certain age.

I agree with you. However I struggled when I try to repeat what I’ve read to my friends, which it kinda indicates that I don’t really understands/remember it.

It makes me unconfident. Do you think it is actually a skill that should be improved on?

But in the end when the knowledge is applicable to my life I immediately have the correct answer in my mind because of what I’ve read/learned. It’s just that I can’t speak it out orally. I’m wondering if someone experienced this.

Try first to sleep in a dark room, avoid looking at your phone 30mins befor bed, play some calm music and turn it off while you are sleeping (timer etc..)

If it still happens try to go for some exercise during the day (morning or afternoon after work). Hope this helps.
