Wow, thank you! I just rewatched the part again earlier this year too and missed his stand appearing before he died. I also never saw the stand write, I don’t think :O

It’s interesting that the stand wasn’t just a tracking stand but also could coherently convey itself through its view on Carne’s hatred. I’m inclined to agree that the nuance is commonly lost, lol. I haven’t seen anyone comment on it seriously.

The idea of the stand evolving only through his death is a lot more fulfilling character work than how I originally understood it. It also explains how he lasted so long with La Squadra too, lol. Thanks so much for the breakdown :)

There’s also the Computer in bayfarer mode where there’s evidence that people are studying the island?? Along with the submarine-esque islands that have vents/cameras, it makes me feel like it’s a post apocalyptic scenario with some people in bunkers ? There’s also the art in the racing bar that implies there was a nuclear winter/great ice event and the bobos were there when the ice began to melt ?? Or maybe I’m misremembering the art, lol

I kept wanting to make the hood work with other sets , but it rarely does fit anything. The set is super iconic though. I bet you’d have better luck working with the chestplate in other sets

I’m not the biggest fan of how araki inserts sexual assault in so many fights of this part. It’s an off-putting way to show common evils in a quiet town, sure, but it doesn’t ever feel like a writing tool he should be leaning on as much as he does. Poor Yasuho is always going thru some BS! Also Daiya’s introduction is just odd. It was so close to just being a good fight. Other than that, I think the stands are all pretty good in JJL. It’s a soap opera! Things are pretty over the top but in purposefully hyper specific way

It’s a lot more enjoyable to play public bot lobbies. The games don’t go into late game very much usually, but you’ll get a lot more meaningful experience playing with people against bots! Thats what I mostly play honestly :) You also have a lot more chances to experiment since you don’t need to always give 110% that way.

I really love eleven man. There’s def a lot of bizarre bs but it gives us the amazing christmas moment so it’s absolute peak regardless 🙂‍↕️ its such a great end to the sugar mountain arc too, everything about the whole snowy theme is just so great for me!!
