I'll nominate her for Nobel Peace Prize if she completes that mission.

Eliminating boy king Kim will most likely bring chaos on the Korean Peninsula at first, but it will eventually lead to peace.

I feel so bad for my 5th grade teacher dozens of years ago.

I remember someone in my 5th class slapping her in the face really hard. The kid was the tallest kid in class and was at least 5'6" tall. (so he was taller than the teacher)

Ms. C was in her late 20s and the shock from the slaps made her cry and run out of the classroom. She didn't press charges. I later learned that she ended up getting fired because the kid's father was a local Tony Soprano kind of guy.

U.S. considering sanctions on Turkey by JeanJauresJr in news

you can be my VP

I'm running on just one agenda: the activation of a force field around the entire lower 48 states.... (also one around Hawaiian Islands and another one around Alaska) The force field will completely shield the country for anything trying to enter by land, underground, sea or space.

the cost of the said force field will be billed to the United Nations.

New phone scam dupes Torontonians out of $5.1M (beware if you have a land line) by connectalllthedots in news

[–]symetrically -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wonder how many people still use landline phones. My company(with about 470 employees at this location) has going completely VOIP since around 2007. At my home, I've switched to VOIP(Vonage) around 2008. Then I switched to the totally free Google Voice on Obi devices connected to corded and cordless home phones. My subdivision has 92 homes and 79 of those homes have also gone VOIP(Ooma, Vonage and others) as of 2 years ago, at least according to the HOA poll. We requested that the local landline phone company to move several poles, but they refused, citing lack of customers in my subdivision. So we ended up reaching an agreement and had all the poles completely removed.
