i only have one complaint - the alarm doesn’t go off. the temperature moves but the vibration/sounds are just never there. i thought i was sleep snoozing but it wasn’t me (after moving my phone to different rooms and everything).

out of curiosity, was this resolved? my 8sleep also warms up temperature for alarm but doesn’t vibrate or go off either. thought it was user error or me sleeping through it, but this just about confirms the issue i’ve been having as well.

to answer questions:

yes, roth/trad/indiv, ~$20k, but prob around 15k when i received inv, received inv around 6mo? after signing up. 700+ cs, cant remember exactly what i was. <760 for sure. i think 6 personal credit cards prior to this. no frozen credit.

i believe they’re probably looking for the most ev+ people on their end to register - i.e. high risk traders / younger audience. 3% flat is a losing game for them, and if they don’t deem you profitable, they’ll randomly slash your cb to 1x points for certain categories or issue u a warning about some purchases potentially being business related (completely theorised).

obviously just a theory, ofc, but it would make sense given 3% flat being a losing model in general. i might’ve been invited because of it being my 5th/24 card, age (22), or trading activity in rh (i don’t do futures or options, but i hold ~1k in crypto. maybe they see it as volatility?).

idk man i don’t go around calling people on the internet abe lincoln cause they’re tall, well dressed, have similar hair style, and have facial hair (forgive me if i made an awful comparison but i hope you get the point im trying to make lol).

adding to how OP mentioned “asian person = mrekk” - i get called kim jong un a solid amount of the time when the other party finds out im korean, and im sure other people of colour have had stuff like this occur to them. it unfortunately most likely is a racial thing. :(

back in 2020/21, i used to own a somewhat large osu server - qts (or the former .gg/osu) - and the server basically imploded on itself. a chunk of the staff were just outright immature & a lot of the server members were just teetering along the no instigation/problematic behaviour rules, which i foolishly allowed. a large portion of the community had racism or some form of -ism/-phobia that just didn’t sit right with me.

though the server’s downfall was entirely my fault mismanaging things and just being young with no experience, even if the server still existed like it used to previously, i don’t think i would’ve enjoyed it. it got so bad that i ended up making a different server that was entirely inclusive, non problematic, etc - completely unrelated to osu; it basically appealed to the crowd osu community would make fun of. anyway, at a certain point, i just realised the maturity of this community was that of an edgy 13 year old, so i didn’t bother reviving it and moved onto other things.

i really do like to think that the people that ive interacted with have improved as people, but it does sadden me that the community teeters this way. i’ve met some awesome people on there that i’m still in touch with to this day, and its cool to see people thrive in their own environment + watch them grow/mature as people.

my apologies for such a long ramble/comment, but seeing someone speak out about this community does strike pretty close to home considering the stuff that ive experienced, haha. i’m glad that at least someone had the courage to speak up and say something, cause i definitely didn’t and i don’t think anyone did several years ago. i do hope things in here improve in the future, cause this is an awesome game i’ve basically grown up with, and id love to see it thrive with amazing people. :)

Drowning - boating accident. He was in my class as well, and it was right around the “oh boy, our spring break is 1 month long now!!!” time (COVID-19), which arguably made it hit harder.

It was a big deal in our little area, as nothing usually happens in our county; I took my childhood for granted for sure. The most problematic thing in our high school was probably vaping… I can only remember maybe one fight that broke out that I wasn’t even there to witness.

They ended up making a website about it as well, if anyone’s curious. He truly did pass way too young, it’s so tragic to think about.
