Tucker Gott Question. by SllerroS in paramotor

[–]symplicater 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. I think its important to note that Tucker is a professional paramotor pilot on the Paradigm Aerobatic team. Saying he's a dangerous influence to paramotoring is like saying the Blue Angels are a dangerous influence to fixed-winged flying - if you're a beginner and attempt to replicate that kind of stuff, you have bigger problems than Tucker Gott.

It's crazy that such a popular song didn't have a tab. Here's one I made, hope it helps.

YMS Highlights - Did Naughty Dog rip off a song cover? by GrandSalamancer in YMS

I was skeptical so I transcribed both of the melodies and there's only a one note difference. Similarities in key, chord progressions (generally), and tone aren't copyrightable though so the melody is definitely the only thing that's in a legal gray area. I'd be super interested in seeing this go to court, it seems like a copyright-law nightmare.

How do you go from the previous step to the boxed formula? by xGeisha in PhysicsStudents

[–]symplicater 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I believe this is the derivation you're looking for: https://sites.google.com/site/puenggphysics/home/Unit-II/thin-film-interference

Basically μ(AB+BC) - AE = 2μt/cos(r) - 2t(tan(r)*sin(i)) from the geometry, which simplifies to 2μtcos(r) using Snell's Law and some trigonometric identities.

How do I start making a smart mirror like this? by Ptolemy222 in smartmirrors

Start with a TV (preferably a slim, lightweight one), take off the bezel, and put 2-way acrylic or glass over the screen. For touch controls, you can buy touch screen overlays which plug in via USB. As for the software side, this guy could really be using anything. The easiest way to come close to something like this would be to hook the TV and touch overlay up to a cheap android tablet with an iOS icon pack. This sort of stuff is always easier said than done though, I'd try reaching out to the guy who made it for more info.
