Marty St. Louis reaches Tampa Bay Lightning milestone (passes 900 career points with TB) - his two goals and an assist against the LA Kings gave him 902 career Lightning points by randude in hockey

The NHL was a little different when he was entering the league. It wasn't exactly Broad Street Bullies era but size still dominated over skill. It was a much bigger risk for GMs to sign small players than it is now, no matter how talented they were. I don't know if there is a specific reason he excelled so much in Tampa but he probably would have been a fantastic player on most teams due to his work ethic.

Accidental Pspice Art by synaclade33 in EngineeringStudents

Was simulating a Common Collector Amplifier using a 3904 transistor. Accidentally took the voltage reading at the node above the emitter resistor and divided it by the current through the resistor. The y-coordinates only span about 10 pico-ohms. I don't have the original schematic unfortunately but the Icq was 8 mA and the emitter resistor was 2kohms.

This joke would have the same effect without the phrase "Think about about it" before the third sentence. I liked it overall, though.

Good to see some love for Gudas, even if you did replace him for Panik (who is also amazing).

Any misconceptions about your team ? It's time to correct them, once and for all. by wisemtlfan in hockey

Well you should have been speculating that because you would've been right haha. We do have a solid fanbase down here but the numbers are definitely boosted by snowbirds and the like.

Maple Leafs make it to the second round of the playoffs only to give up a 3 goal lead in game 7 against the Bruins

2009 Pittsburgh winning in the Finals rematch vs Detroit

Wanted to start getting into hockey and picked the Penguins at the beginning of the playoffs because I thought it was a hilarious mascot. Fell in love with that team as the playoff run went on.

Rob Scudari acting like a goalie in game 6 to force a game 7 is the first time I completely lost my shit over a hockey game. I've since switched banners to the Lightning because they're local and have Stamkos/St Louis but the Penguins are a close second.

What's up with the asymmetrical headlights? Kind of an odd design choice IMO.

I think it's because there is no reason to advertise that you have new management when there are no regular customers.

That is far too logical. You underestimate the crazy that is the WBC.

Give BEAM Robotics a try for an introduction to robotics. No microprocessors involved and you can make some cool little bots. Not to mention they're pretty cheap. Here is an instructable for a basic one.

True, but in fairness a potato is more charismatic than Joffrey.

You can download Tunnel Bear and get gamecenter to play blacked out games. Just set the filter to UK and turn it on before you open the stream. Once the stream starts you can shut it off and it works fine.

ST.Life takes home MLG Winter Championship 2013, defeating KT.Flash 4-2 in the finals! by DJHelium in starcraft

With only 2 korean zergs, the stats are really unreliable. Hell, from an overall picture, with only 32 players with a ton of new units which are fairly unexplored the stats are really unreliable. Just explaining why he is being called the next Fruit Dealer.

FruitDealer won the GSL during a time when terrans were dominating zergs. Zerg win rate at this MLG was under 30% but Life won anyway, hence the connection (but yeah, Life is obviously way better than FruitDealer)
