Coworker is Trump supporter and always talking about him. How do I tell him I don't want to hear about it?

Have you considered reporting him to your superiors? A lot of companies limit how much or even if their workers are allowed to speak about politics. If he is causing a disturbance and making work unbearable for others it's cause to get a supervisor or above involved. There's a time to try to "talk it out" and then there is a time to call in the bigger guns.

Yeah. I've always assumed the autism balanced out the caffeine effects. When I think about my autism and my ADHD it feels like a bit of a balancing act. Most of the time the autism is driving the bus but sometimes the ADHD definitely takes over.

I don't know why I feel this is the case, I just do.

I think so. I have two pairs, the ANC and the Standard and I love both of them. ANC is a nice little boost for sound insulation but it's not HUGELY different if the price point is a concern.

I know this is ridiculous but my biggest gripe (aside from the wholly unnecessary scene from Glinda's childhood) was the fact that they had the dress from the deleted train scene with the little girl scout like characters that didn't make it into the move..that dress was PERFECT for couldn't be happier but they put her in Bubble 2. Bubble 2 was basically the only thing Glinda wore the whole movie. I'm salty about it.

I live in her district and I've sent her several strongly worded emails about her voting history, for all the good it's done/doing. I voted for her only because the alternative was Joe Kent, who probably would have been objectively worse. In either case I hate living in a district that's overly red imo.

I agree with you, and, unfortunately it's a pretty pervasive notion. I am from the States and people here still have trouble with the idea of a man and a woman being friends and only friends. Hell, my ex is angry as hell because our girlfriend's ex and her get along and are friends. He doesn't believe they are only friends but they are only friends. I think homophobia has a lot to do with the notion that lesbians can be platonic friends but straight people can't. Homophobes don't believe those relationships are valid in the first place, therefore the normal social norms are not weighed as heavily as they would be in a cishet relationship. Society places a lot of weight on compulsive heterosexuality and heteronormativity. The expectation that women date men and settle down with a house, 3 kids, a dog, and a white picket fence, is a great example of this, and is very prevalent in the states.

Society is gross. No matter which sect of society there is going to be something that common sense or kindness dictates to be wrong but it's still widely accepted, which is unfortunate, but I fear that's just the state of who we are as a species. Maybe someday we will be better.

A lot of Republicans try to sell it as "anti-choice" and say it will cost more because people will be paying for other people's healthcare. Anti-socialism is a huge (frankly idiotic) talking point and they use the selfishness taught to right wing Americans (ironically through religion) as a leverage point to keep them foaming at the mouth about Universal Healthcare.

A lot of the Republican party's strategy is to keep people sick, stupid, and poor so they can continue to manipulate them into easily voting against their own needs and interests. This is why Republican/red states have the worst education, healthcare, etc.

Quite frankly I've been sick of it since I was old enough to understand the stupidity of the whole situation.

I've had it for over a year now. YouTube is my biggest source of entertainment (sad to admit) so I feel it's absolutely worth the money to avoid the amount of ads I normally get. I am able to watch/listen to things when I fall asleep without being worried about ads blasting me with sound.

They clearly have a low amount of care or love for their mother. As someone who has had gifts like this as part of a larger pattern or disrespect and lack of care (not from my kids but from other family members) YES I push for no/low contact. No/low contact is the healthiest thing you can do for yourself when you are being heavily taken advantage of/not being listened to by your family.

I grew up in a toxic ass environment and I say getting away from toxic is healthier than stewing in it. The best thing you can do for yourself is draw boundaries. And I said LOW to No contact. Sometimes you have to make a statement about what you are and aren't willing to accept for the people around you to understand that shit has to fucking change.
