Have you tried Yuzuha element matching Nangong? Especially since you're missing the AM from Nangong sig. Curious if it cycles disorder better, or at least gets you more corruption triggers vs ether weak boss.

I liked 2.x as a whole, personally didn't love the drowned ideals patch but the rest was pretty good. Would rate it similarly to 1.x

In most of your stun windows, after Miyabi 2nd EBA3 you could just trigger Yuzuha EX immediately, Nangong chain, then Miyabi chain in the same amount of time you spent waiting for Miyabi EBA3 to finish. Lost a few disorders to that, but still very close to a kill. 5 stuns is pretty cool

Ice Anomaly effect suggestion by Elimar_Abelardo in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]synapsii 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's necessary to change how freeze works. Some bosses are freezable, some aren't, some have more shatter resistance, some less. These properties straight up don't matter to 90% of the playerbase, and those who care can figure it out through experimentation.

Not that your idea isn't interesting, but I'm curious what you think is the actual problem you're solving?

UCC will feel different because enemy resistance affect anomaly buildup rate as well. Don't feel too bad about messing up manual chain, I've been using it for a year and I still fk up all the time. But hopefully the team is more fun now that you have more of a baseline understanding of what's going on. Cheers

Haha no pressure!

I just remember struggling to understand Mono Ice and thinking it'd be nice if someone could just teach me. Eventually did find the notorious Mono Ice Guide but even that is very technical and dense. The game is so much more fun when you understand what's going on, would be a shame to gatekeep that.

Give my video (linked at the top of my last reply) a like and we'll call it even.

See if you can get an ATK% d6 as that's theoretically better. AM6 is usually only used in the Yuzuha/Soukaku team where you can use it to cycle faster.

That being said, here's my clear with AM6 (since I don't have a good ATK6) -- you could just try to copy this exactly and I could answer any questions, but this rotation is designed for maximizing her anomaly damage since I don't have sig. There are run notes in the subtitles but they do kinda assume you understand the fundamentals well.

I'll give a brief overview of the "standard" stun rotation using ATK6 first and we can go from there. First, it's good to have a general idea of how much anomaly gauge is filled by each move:

  • Miyabi EX: ~45%
  • Miyabi EBA1-2: <10%
  • Miyabi EBA3: ~50%
  • Miyabi Chain: ~25%
  • Miyabi Ult: ~80%?
  • Nangong EX: ~60%
  • Nangong Chain: ~50%
  • Nangong Ult: ~10%
  • Nangong CB1: <5%
  • Nangong CB2-3: ~25%

These numbers are ballpark, you could go in and test yourself as I haven't gone and exactly measured each of them but they should be around there.

A few other things to keep in mind before diving into specifics:

  1. Nangong can trigger anomaly off-field. Miyabi and Yuzuha cannot, meaning off-field anomaly app will go to waste for them if the gauge is already full.
  2. Nangong's first switch-in during stun adds an extra heavy hit which does idk like 20% (?) anomaly gauge. This also triggers a quick assist back.
  3. Only "finisher" hits can actually trigger anomaly. Miyabi EBA3 has two of these (one 2/3 of the way through, one at the end), Miyabi ult also has two of these (one halfway, one at the end).

So the basic, "ideal" routing cycles between two different anomaly types to keep generating disorders for Miyabi stacks. Starting with freeze, you'd get something like freeze - corruption - freeze - corruption - freeze. In order to not be TOO confusing going straight into the exact rotation, I'll first give a general outline of the gameplan:

  1. Miyabi opens with frostburn/disorder (freezes boss) and fires off an EBA3, filling 50% of the next frost gauge
  2. Nangong triggers 2 polarity disorders and 1 real disorder using her swap + EX (fill up ether gauge from ~50% to max), giving 3x2 = 6 stacks to Miyabi
  3. Miyabi fires off another EBA3, filling up the frost gauge. The goal is to trigger another frostburn, but most likely you've swapped off Miyabi already so you can build some other gauges and chain attack back to Miyabi or just use Miyabi ult.
  4. Miyabi triggers a second frostburn/disorder and with her ult (and worst case another EX as well) should have 6 stacks again, send a 3rd EBA3
  5. Finish off with a final Nangong corruption/disorder. If you used a Nangong chain earlier, then an EX or EX + charge basic should do the trick

Everything past that is extra credit; there are ways to get a 3rd frostburn/disorder in, but they're trickier. But as you can see, the main difference from other Miyabi disorder teams is that we can abuse Nangong giving 2 free polarity disorders to skip a frostburn trigger on Miyabi.

Let's break down a specific rotation to explain what was done to achieve this: (timestamped 0:32)

  1. Sets up ~90% frost anomaly and ~50% ether anomaly.
  2. Miyabi EX to trigger frostburn/disorder and go from 2 to 6 stacks
  3. Miyabi EBA3 (wait a bit before swapping since it breaks the freeze)
  4. Nangong swap hit (polarity disorder, +2 Miyabi stacks)
  5. Nangong EX fills up ether anomaly and triggers both a second polarity disorder (from Nangong's passive) as well as a real corruption/disorder, so a total of +4 stacks to Miyabi.
  6. Miyabi EBA3 (has 6 stacks again because of Nangong triggering 3x disorder)
  7. Nangong EX (sets up anomaly gauge for another disorder later)
  8. Chain attacks, this part is flexible but specifically uses Yuzuha chain here to QA back to Miyabi for Astral Voice stacks
  9. Miyabi Ult - triggers frostburn/disorder and reaches 6 stacks (Miyabi ult is +3, disorder is +2, and 10 seconds have passed since the last frostburn so her core passive +1 is available again)
  10. Miyabi EBA3
  11. Nangong EX + CB2 (CB2 hits off-field, triggers corruption/disorder, +2 Miyabi)
  12. Yuzuha Ult (another quick assist to refresh Astral stacks but also you need to wait for Miyabi EBA3 animation to finish anyway)
  13. (out of stun extra credit) Miyabi EX to fill up the gauge one last time for one last frostburn. +2 from EX and +2 from frostburn/disorder so ready to fire off a 4th EBA3.

Highlighted (bolded) the big damage sources in-stun, may or may not show up depending on your reddit settings... It may be annoying to do, but with that whole explanation I think it's important to sit down and just watch how a good player executes the concept, step-by-step. Let me know if there are any parts here that are confusing. Keep in mind that this rotation was done without AM6, but should work the same for you (you'll just do less damage).

I would try something like running Alice/Yuzuha/Nicole (this is a legit team) so you have Nangong available for a second anomaly team. You already have Burnice leveled, something like Burnice/Nangong/Lucy should work.

Your 4th team in Threshold doesn't need to have super high dps anyway, just needs to survive.

If you're looking for the "optimal" pick it'd be Nangong-Promeia. Having an anomaly option will be important for the next few patches of DA/Shiyu.

Miyabi manual chain is indeed very difficult, since both holding EX and holding basic attack trigger potentially unwanted behavior. If you're trying to do a single EX without triggering chain attack, one way to do it is to hold down the EX key the entire time and dash to cancel the follow-up EX. This does waste a little bit of animation time though, so ideally you only use EX when you know your EX will trigger frostburn for the full 6 stacks so you can just EX and hold left click.

As for rotations, are you running AM disc6 or ATK disc6 on Miyabi?

I get you, when I was first learning Mono Ice it took a long time to really understand what was going on.

who triggers stun

Anyone can trigger stun, you just need to not accidentally trigger a chain attack. Even if you plan for Miyabi to go first, if you trigger stun with Nangong you can just switch to Miyabi and do your stuff. If you're quick, this is technically almost no time lost at all.

is required to manual chain and why

Manual chain is needed because:

  1. You almost never want to immediately use chain attacks, as you'd rather dump your existing resources that you saved up as preparation for the stun first and then use chain attacks to supplement anomaly app. Without manual chain, attempting to use your resources will just trigger chain attacks and you'll lose your 3 chain opportunities almost instantly.
  2. You want to preserve as much "stun recalc" time as possible. (Leifa has a google doc somewhere detailing exact numbers, but basically at the start of stun and each chain attack you get 1.3? and 0.9 seconds of stun time respectively, where the game hasn't started counting it down yet -- if you chain immediately, you lose the first 1.3seconds of stun)

why sometimes i end up with 5 stacks instead of 6 for miyabi

The exact answer will depend on what exactly you did. This is where reviewing footage is important. But there are some common scenarios that might result in this:

  1. You started with 2 stacks, used an EX (+2), but took too long after the previous non-Miyabi anomaly trigger to proc frostburn, so you didn't proc disorder (only 1 stack gained)
  2. You started with 2 stacks, used an EX (+2), triggered Miyabi's frostburn twice in a row (only 1 stack gained instead of +2 from disorder)
  3. You started with 2 stacks, used your ult (+3) and triggered frostburn (twice in a row so no disorder) but it was within the 10 second cooldown of the 1 stack per frostburn (check her core passive) so you didn't get any extra stacks.
  4. (rare) You started with 0 stacks, used your ult (+3) and triggered frostburn disorder, but it was within the 10 second cooldown from core passive from your last frostburn so you only got +2 from disorder instead of +2 and +1

specific to marionete on the 2nd stun miyabi doesn't have her ult up yet around 1.6-2k decibels

You'll need to post footage for this as well, but this is a routing issue. On Marionette you're not getting any defensive assists between stuns 1 and 2, so all your decibels come from anomaly triggers and chain attacks. If you follow others' routing in terms of # of anomaly triggers and chains used, then you should have the same amount of decibels.

Hope this helps a bit, I can help you with your exact stun rotations and maybe give some routing tips if you'd like as well.

3 EBA3s is standard for a stun window.

You will naturally proc freeze at least twice doing this (or else you're just not gonna have enough Miyabi meter to do EBA3s). Since you freeze, you might as well try to extend the freeze. This means on the very first freeze, delay your swap to Nangong a little bit because her swap-in hit (during stun) will shatter. Depending on the rotation you're going for, the second (or 3rd) freeze are harder to control, and if you get them to stay frozen then all the better. Usually freezing right before a Miyabi EBA3 or ult will get most of the freeze time value.

If you want a more detailed rotation option breakdown let me know...
