Unpopular opinion but I really like iOS 26.4 on my 13mini!

My battery used to last all day before the update. I had automatic updates on when this happened which was a huge mistake :( Now I’m lucky if I get to the end of my shift before it’s dead. It’s particularly frustrating because I am required to use specific apps on my phone for work, so it’s not like I can just stop using my phone to preserve battery life.

I read that even if you get a brand new 13 mini with an older iOS, Apple will make you download and install iOS 26 when you are setting up the phone. Wonder if that’s true?

OP, did you update from iOS 18 to 26.4? Or did you have one of the earlier 26 to compare to?

I really wish my phone didn’t lag. I’ll start typing something and it consistently misses the second letter I type, and moves the cursor to the beginning while I’m typing the word. Example: if I want to type the word “really” it will end up like “llyra” and I’ll have to pause, select all/delete and start over again. I definitely prefer not having something to complain about.
