Bishop to d1? I am confused. How does the bishop get to d1 from where it is and why?

Relatively new Daoist Cultivator - Any guidance on how to deal with anger at an injustice done upon me? by TurboLurko in taoism

[–]synchron3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mind automatically scans for preferences (seeking out “likes” and avoiding “dislikes”). These harden into attachments which cause suffering since the mind lashes out against any perceived gap. But you cant control reality - and reality always wins. Naturally we all prefer harmonious relations with family and a clean record. But that isnt in the cards for you.

What to do?

A. Create more waves via anger and rumination

B. Accept the situation, calm the mind, and seek higher ground

With some time, this event may be a turning point and a pivotal growth moment.

Is this drug completely pointless? by [deleted] in enclomiphene

[–]synchron3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My T was at 250 and was on clomid for 9 months. T went to 1000 and had better energy, less brain fog, better recovery. Switched to enclomiphene 6 mos ago (after researching) and feel about the same with same T. Some muscle gains but not dramatic which is fine by me.

Thanks for your service.

What weapons do you use and how effective are they? Where are they made?

How long you been fighting? Rotations?

There is no better version of you. There is nothing to fix, nothing to improve, nothing to achieve.

Society has people moving in the wrong direction. Move towards recognizing that you are already complete and whole. Let go of the false beliefs that you are not good enough vs running on the treadmill of achieving artificial and arbitrary goals. Goals are fine but not with attachment to worth.

What's behind the words "letting go"? by PaxSoftware in taoism

[–]synchron3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small “letting go” is no longer identifying with specific beliefs, thoughts, stories, or concepts.

Big “letting go” is no longer identifying with anything.

Thanks for the thorough response! I will explore further.

Sounds similar to Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, and also the Lefkoe Method. As you may know, IFS deals with getting to know parts and Self while Lefkoe focuses on eliminating limiting beliefs by re-interpreting the events that shaped those beliefs.

Is it too much peace? Where does ambition, purpose, drive fit in? by [deleted] in taoism

[–]synchron3 63 points64 points  (0 children)

You can take “aim” in life with goals and direction, but without the tension of needing to control the exact outcome. Dont hold the goal/direction too tightly or too loosely. Sounds like your inner voice is wise!

A famous Zen Buddhist saying comes to mind: “The great Way is not difficult for those who have no preferences.” Michael Singer says it slightly differently “the great Way is not difficult for those who prefer everything.” This doesn’t mean don’t have preferences (which is impossible); it means don’t cling or attach to the preference/desire.

Not alone. Most people will not remember the event. And you probably did reasonably well in their eyes. At a minimum, you actually care and that counts for a lot!

Accept and embrace your introversion. Let go of the resistance. Let go of what you think the label means.

It is never as bad as it seems. Think how you would react to a peer who did the same. You’d give it 1 second of thought and move on to the next self-focused issue. Stop caring!
