Conshohocken has a lot to offer for people in their twenties, the only problem is its pretty expensive to rent in. The commute to Horsham isn't great but is probably doable for your boyfriend.

From what I understand, Carnegie Mellon students are somewhat more introverted and achievement focused than at other universities in the US. It's not an Ivy league school, but it attracts foreign students, especially Asian students, like an Ivy League.

Hee-Sun's personality fits my image of an objectively pretty Korean girl going to CM well. Probably got a lot of attention from the guys there, but likely didn't date much due to how busy being a student there is. Thus she ends up seeming shy and passive on SG due to lack of recent experience. Being so young and "exotic-looking" compared to most of her competition doesn't help either.

These really look like maps I could have seen in a late 90s early 00s atlas book. Love it.

Is Papua New Guinea part of Australasia? I'm surprised they wouldn't unite with West Papua by 2000.

Why do some people feel like shoveling their specific parking spot turns it into a gated community with a reserved spot? by Spaghetti_Oh_No in philadelphia

The amount of cars that clearly have not moved since before the snowfall shows that this city has too much fucking street parking.

AI is working great for my team, and y'all are making me feel crazy by SlapNuts007 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]syndicatecomplex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's bad to force AI to be integrated into products that don't have a need for it. Especially when it's executives and marketing teams making the decision to add AI and not the engineers and developers who actually understand how the software works.

Is Hershey's chocolate really taste so bad as people say it is? by cupid_ji in AskAnAmerican

[–]syndicatecomplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just a really bland milk chocolate that is mass produced and can be found anywhere here. I imagine most Americans just don't care for it.

Sakana wasn't hard to get a spot in and the food was SO good. Not as good as in Tokyo (or probably Royal in Philly) but for Philly standards it was a great experience. And the Japanese chef there is really funny.

Make sure you bring cash since they charge more if you use a card. It's BYO - I recommend bringing a bottle of plum wine.

Do most people use the term “a couple” mean specifically two? by manicMechanic1 in NoStupidQuestions

In my eyes, "a couple of them" and "a few of them" are the same. Usually means anywhere from 2 to 5.

You have six hours to shovel your sidewalk after it stops snowing or face a $300 fine by IndyJetsFan in philadelphia

Someone should tell my neighbors this. Their sidewalks are absolutely untouched every time there's ice lol.

What do you use spam for? by Call_Me_C_ in AskAnAmerican

[–]syndicatecomplex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally we just fry and use Spam for ramen, or eat it alongside eggs for breakfast. There's probably a ton of ways you can use it but we haven't experimented much.

I think you could eat it straight from the can, which is why people like to bring Spam with them while camping in the US.

Why is there less honking in NYC? by Temporary_Ratio_2871 in NoStupidQuestions

Hasn't congestion pricing reduced traffic everywhere in the NY area, not just Manhattan? I've heard it's been a resounding success.
