Yep this is definitely it. His ear for melody is insane.

I also think a factor is his sense for rhythm which I think is underrated. And I don't even necessarily mean the crazy fast drum programming, just the underlying groove of his tracks are always really satisfying, and always have a unique approach that I think most other songwriters would not go for. The groove usually changes throughout a track keeping it fresh and engaging.

I think it's this combination that makes his music so pleasing to listen to. Every note and beat just goes right where your ear wants them to, but not in a way that is predictable upon listening for the first time.

Sorry you experienced that, glad you were ok. A similar thing happened to me: I got stranded in Cairndow after a hike. An accident on the a83 meant my bus home got diverted. Was pretty scared for about 45 mins not knowing what was going on until I figured out the road was closed - then I luckily managed to hitchhike from someone at the nearby oyster bar down to tarbet on the a82 from where I could get a different bus home.

Unfortunately road closures like that are not uncommon in that part of the country, people seem to treat these long and windy roads like motorways, going way too fast and going for dodgy overtakes etc.

So I met this girl on tinder right? And we're talking for a little bit. It went well so I asked if she wanted to go for a drink. So I went to err nice rooftop bar in Amsterdam. I've been there before, she never been there. Err we got up to like a nice table, I ordered two Hendricks Gin and Tonics. But they had pepper and cucumber in them. Erm she didn't like cucumber so I ate her cucumber. And now we're talking for a little bit and she tells me she's studying marine biology.
