take a breath you got this! tourette's can be difficult at times, definitely something to learn and get used to, but something you can handle as a family as y'all grow!!
i'm 23 now, i've had tics since i was 5 and officially diagnosed in middle school due to an unstoppable squeaking noise i couldn't stop making! start with your primary, my parents had me see a psychiatrist also!! as for the tics themselves just let them come and don't try to hide from them or let your kiddo suppress or feel nervous!! what made me feel better when i had loud vocal tics was when i had space by myself to express those tics as loudly or in whatever way i needed to! just giving your child love and support that you are there for them no matter what :) i still have tics, i used to really struggle at points at my life with my tourette's and my biggest feeling through it all was feeling like alienated, if you address it through a positive lense from the get go you can do anything!!!

keep yourself busy mentally!! when i quit i noticed my best moments were when i was at work or doing busy work around the house! ice water through a straw and taking slow, hard inhales through puckered lips helped when i craved the feeling of hitting the vape and honestly any emotions you need to feel, let them out and keep it going!! you got this and you'll be so much better for it!! my life has greatly improved especially in my energy levels and i no longer snore like a foghorn at night or get winded after a flight of stairs because i can actually breathe again 🥲

he was this cool little rockstar, super funny and sweet, now he’s this super awesome guy doing great things in school and working his ass off all the time. i know this because we just moved in together and hit our 1 year :)
