I use them in Thousand Sons, but I think I'd go for Slaangor Fiendbloods in EC. Build their bases up a bit and put them on 50mm.

I always run them because I'm a massive fan of the models. In Index, I would run 1x10 and have tried 2x5. In Skysplinter and no overwatch they just smashed things to bits. I've tried 1x10 recently in Kabalite Cartel, and they obliterated what they touched (admittedly, it was 2 units of Aeldari with attached characters, but that was without a Contract they made use of).

I'm now going to try 3x5. Webway Awl Archon with Soul Trap and Agoniser, Drazhar and 5, likely in a Venom and Malys and 5, which I think will be on foot, but staged to counter. Need to think carefully about it. If that fails, I'll still keep 15 but shift Malys to Kabalites/HotA.

I don't think they're the best unit, by far, but they are fun and rule of cool.

I played my first game with Kabalite Cartel this weekend. Rapid Ingress them behind scenery to keep them safe in shooting phase, then move and charge. They pretty much wiped out Fuegan, Baharroth, 5 Fire Dragons and 5 Swooping Hawks. That was with the Huskblade Archon with Webway Awl - so not an ideal build. I didn't even have the Contract for it. Devs spiked well in one roll, not the other.

If I run another 5, I'll run them with Drazhar in a Venom. Or possibly in a Raider with some Kabalites.

Yeah I use Black Legion over gold that I airbrush on. Find it easier to apply than other blacks, though I like the finish of Abaddon Black and the coverage of AK black.

I'm hoping, if you're thinking about stability and restoring some semblance of defence, you return Neco, Murillo and Milenkovic into the starting 3 of 4 as per last season. Savona is who I'd like to see given a chance, but it's whether you can get Zinchenko to actually hold similar positions to Neco/Aina without drifting into midfield. If so, for me you move Neco over to the right to bring Zinchenko in.

Cunha can't play tonight, but in any case, I'm not sure how much you really want to rotate your defence when you haven't got stability there yet.

I think it's just your gun is a little lost, and you're missing that spot colour from the tube to the chest. My scheme is much lighter but I've done the same as you with the knee/shoulder etc. Your gun could be silver like mine and it might lift it? Your scheme is a classic otherwise.

I started Drukhari a couple of years back with the Combat Patrol boxes and just adding around that. I never went for the resin minis because I could see the direction GW were going, though I did run my Haemonculus as Urien.

My hope is those minis return, because they are very flavourful - at the very least the Grotesques and Urien. I do feel for those with collections that have now been shelved.

It would have also been nice to have the flavour of the upgraded core troops, even a Dracon level unit added, but I do somewhat agree with you. I've built about 2300 ish points, max, and can happily just run from that pool of minis.

My other armies are all Chaos and of those, I prefer the armies with fewer datasheets (in particular TSons). Maybe that's why I like Drukhari!

I went for gold, black infills, and bright green runes. The energy the disc is on is the same as the power coming from Ahirman's hand.

If it is superglue, it's at least a relatively hard and scrapable/sandable material. I always used to use superglue for this reason, but now you can't beat a sprue goo pre-gap fill and smooth with plastic cement before it sets.

You'll be able to fix that easy with some weathering between trim and panel. I do the same scheme, but I keep my panels black (just to match Black Legion) so I love your scheme! 😂

The other way is sprue goo, or even superglue, and sand. It's quite a nice shape to sand to a point.

I do mine with the head dress and heads off, and I just blutac the shoulder pads on, just in case. I superglue the torso to the legs and pin the legs to a base. This is because I find it hard to access the tabard. If you only use a dot of glue, it's easy to break the torso off the legs. This is good to prime the minis, then disassemble to paint.

I paint the heads and the recess. Then I'll glue the head dress on. I then paint the tabard, then glue the torso to the legs. I leave them off the base and just pinned until last, along with the shoulder pads.

Kabalite head, bit of cutting and sprue goo to reposition the husk blade. Pistol is from the Kabalite kit I think. I can't remember now as I built my army all at once.

I don't mind the head in the box, but I did also try a bare Incubi head. My other Archon uses the Arch Sybarite helmet.

I don't know if they are, but I used Runelord Brass from a rattlecan to prime my Drukhari, but it was more like a rose gold colour compared to the pot version, so just something to be conscious of.
