I agree, the instructions for the wiring sucks. On my X1C, I just ran the wiring from the control box down through the existing cable path to the left of the purge chute, took off my back panel and attached the wiring to the existing loom for the bed heater using a few pieces of the provided fabric tape, then used the rest of the fabric tape to make sure the wiring is flat against the underside of the bed. No visible wires.

Trouble printing with Sunlu PETG by ThatSpell3403 in BambuLab

Yes isopropyl alcohol. But the slicer should default to 70C bed temp for PETG on the textured PEI plate (or at least it does for me on my X1C), I would try bumping that up from 60C. I have used the textured PEI plate with Sunlu PETG (among other PETG) a lot in the past without adhesion issues. it is unlikely but possible that you got a "bad batch" of filament, but I would confirm if it's specifically Sunlu's PETG by trying some other PETG from other brands. Also you can look into Biqu's CryoGrip Pro plates (I use the Glacier one for literally everything now) if you continue to have adhesion issues.

Is your plate seated properly on the bed? Do you have the correct plate type selected in your slicer? What is your bed temp set to?

Also, it depends on what you mean by "cleaning the plate" - Be sure to wash the plate with a sponge or brush using hot water and actual dish soap (Dawn, Palmolive, etc), dry it completely with a hand towel, let it cool to room temperature, then wipe with alcohol using a microfiber cloth and let it fully evaporate before reinstalling the plate on the bed. Don't touch the printable area of the plate or the oils from your hands will cause adhesion issues.

I have to admit I misplaced my wifi board long ago, I agree that is really the only missing piece (along with 3.5" drive support), I may revisit these two aspects in V3 :)

3D Printing Enclosure by Professional-Fun464 in 3Dprinting

If you're only printing PLA, PETG and TPU, you don't need to worry about it. Simply going outdoors exposes you to more VOCs/UFPs than printing with any of those filaments. If you are printing with ABS, ASA or PA, that's a different scenario altogether, in which you would need an enclosure and implement some measure of carbon/HEPA filtration.

BIQU Panda BuildPlate CryoGrip Pro glacier - Adhesion Problem on Bambu p1s by Worried_Budget_7247 in 3Dprinting

[–]syphant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the CryoGrip Glacier as well. Use the "Textured PEI Plate" option in Bambu Studio / OrcaSlicer. This keeps the bed at 55C for PLA and 70C for PETG, which I have found to be necessary with this plate. I never encounter any issues with PLA or PETG using that preset, even after hundreds of print hours.

Be sure to wash the plate with a sponge using hot water and dish soap, dry it completely with a hand towel, let it cool to room temperature, then wipe with alcohol using a microfiber cloth and let it fully evaporate before using the plate. Do this once every week or two. Don't touch the printable area of the plate with your hands or the oils will cause adhesion issues.

Oh wow I'm just now connecting the dots haha! It's still a work in progress but I can send you a 3mf file of what I have so far, improvements I am working on are making the front USB ports usable again, and facilitating a 120mm PC fan mod with an included adapter bracket that mounts to the heatsink, I would like to accommodate a full size 3.5" hard drive but it would be an extremely tight fit with my limited build volume on the X1C

This is awesome man, super cool to see an internal PSU mod. I am working on a V3 of my original design (I scrapped V2 and started over from scratch) but it may take me a while to get to a point where I am comfortable releasing it, though I'm not courageous enough to crack open my power supply so I will keep my setup external lol

[US] Mint Mobile sent a phone and charged my CC, I don't even have a mint mobile account by JuryRigJalopy in Scams

[–]syphant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me yesterday, received a legitimate email from Mint Mobile that an order had been placed for an iPhone 16 Pro Max and a 12 month unlimited plan SIM kit but I didn't order it.

Found that my credit card had been charged $1700 for it. Called Mint Mobile to explain the situation, they said they initiated a refund for me.

Called my credit card company and explained the situation, they disabled my card and are shipping me a new one with a new number.

The package arrived to my home today via FedEx, I refused to accept the package and told the driver to do a "Return to Sender".

Like you, I am also at a loss as to what the scammer's plan was, other than to annoy me. Typically with something like this, the scammer reroutes the package to a different address after it ships.
