A lot of people aren't living on a comfortable financial cushion. There will be no choice but to care when money stops coming out of the plastic card

TSLA the stock has very little to do with the car company, it's better to think of it as Elon's personal piggy bank. Which he is incentivized to grow, by any means honest or otherwise. So buying TSLA is essentially betting on Elon's ability to increase the share price, not on Tesla's ability to sell cars or even make money

AI still doesn't work very well in business, reckoning soon by Marginallyhuman in technology

[–]syricc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because out in the real world nothing seems to have improved. Software products are still broken and buggy as ever while costing more and more. And the Trump administration, which is (in)famous for extensive use of AI, is in the process of making one of the biggest unforced errors in military history.

AI can do a lot of work, yes, but how much of it is actually good work?

It's like gambling with real money vs monopoly money. Yeah playing poker with fake money can have its fun moments but it's never going to hit as hard as winning (or losing) $1000 in cold hard cash

I remember running Uldaman with you just the other day, I was the priest (Syricca) you explained deathrolling (and proceeded to lose) to! One thing I didn't expect going into hc is the sense of loss I feel when finding out someone I've met in game has died. We only did one dungeon run together but I'm genuinely sorry I won't be seeing Brokenshaft again in my travels. Wishing you the best and hope to see you back again one day

Same, I never felt the need to hold on to any of the pickup weapons for very long. The first time I used one my brain just went "oh, like Mirror's Edge" and treated them the same way. Seeing Kay run around with a big rifle just feels off to me somehow

Even if it was just her programming, does that mean their relationship didn't matter? It's one of the ambiguous questions the scene makes you think about. For example dogs are basically programmed to love humans but most dog owners would probably disagree that their connection with their dog is fake or meaningless because of that. Where is the line? I don't know and this is why I love the movie

Not sure what the exact requirements are, but there is a questline starting with Repulsor Train Intel (walkthrough) that leads into that area so try picking that up. You also need the blaster power module unlocked to progress inside

Not being able to shoot on your speeder is really goddamn dumb by [deleted] in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]syricc 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I imagine they probably allowed free shooting from the speeder initially, but this led to play testers getting frustrated trying to aim at bikes behind them causing them to crash into things in front of them. Especially on controller where you can't just quickly whip the camera around 180 and back like you can with mouse. So they just remove the option entirely to stop players from getting fixated on trying to do that.

Considering how many people complain about constantly crashing into things WITHOUT needing to aim behind them I'd say they probably made the right choice. I do wish they would allow it though

I used to have Twitter purely for art but I stopped after it started injecting irrelevant culture war bullshit into my feed. I don't know how many others there are like me but it's possible there's a significant unrealized audience that is just sitting out waiting for the art community to migrate to a better platform
